Hello, looks and sounds sporty congrats! can i ask how much does it cost in total to achieve same level of Darksidedev's A5? i have 245 and don't know if just stage 1 300hp-600nm will be enough or spending more will worth it.. I'm also very worried about reliability :p as the engine have just 120k and want that he last for at 5 years which means +220k.. if diesel is not going to become something like 3€/Liter as well haha
@jakjak258: Thanks bro! All in all I spent approx. 7,600€ (without the 1,600€ for the ECU optimization) for the hardware. So that will be significntly more than just a stage 1 remap. I also upgraded to S5 brakes, new rims and various optical details, hence total sum was quite more than 10K€. You must change oil more often, and be sure to never pull full throttle when the engine oil is cold, then reliability will be OK. I assume that you won't always drive the car like a race car, and thus you will have years of fun with it!
You should see the latest 3.0 v6 diesel they made. It does 17km/liter at 200km/h. and has improved injectors. It does 0-100 in about 5.2 seconds stock at 282bhp, so below 5 seconds if you ecu remap it. It does still cost about 100k euros tho. (assuming danish taxes, so maybe 50-60k euros in germany)
@@andreasb9724 Are the S5 breaks even an upgrade. I just swapped all my brakes to porsche brakes, the S5 brakes are the same size so they don't really offer anything.
@@kevinpedersen5290 The S5 brakes have the same calipers as the A5 brakes (separate from the S5 badges), but other holders, because the disc diameter is greater (front: 345 instead of 320mm, rear: 330 instead of 300mm). Thus the brakes are slightly better, but in fact not as good as the RS5 brakes or even Porsche brakes. But remember, the car meanwhile is 7½years old, I won't invest more money.

As long as you don't accelerate hard it's OK. But when the engine is working hard, it's loud! My wife doesn't like to drive long distances faster than 120km/h (when there are no speed limits on german Autobahn), but for me that's OK (of course ;-)) as i know where that comes from).
Thanks bro. But that's what I want to show: even a Diesel engine is able to produce power and torque, therefore I left it in its place. I only replaced the badges by black ones (except the quattro badge). The car is a "shadow" 😁
It's running very rich. Diesel cars don't have to smoke that much, it's a typical sign that the local laptop guy put in the wrong values when doing the fuel adjustments during stage 1 (and ecu update). and on these tdi's it might also end up costing injector seals, which if untreated costs 2000 euros to get fixed (Cheaper if it's just a re-configuration with new seals, more expensive if it's burned out injectors and pretty much a writeoff if the engine hydrolocks). Also remove that quattro sticker, it looks gay cus it's not stock so it's like those kids that put GTI stickers on their golf instead of just having original badges on it.
I purchased stage 2 injectors fom darkside, but the part number was unrecognizable scratched. Hence the programmer had to use the values given from darkside. They did not seem optimized, therefore there was some smoke. But it usually only occures at low revs, hence the tubocharger does not work properly below 2200 revs. There's too much fuel and not enough air, I know.

El sonido sólo puede ser así si retira el convertidor catalítico (Kat) y el filtro de partículas diésel (DPF) e instala una bajante. Luego es brutalmente ruidoso. Incluso si eliminas completamente el escape desde el DPF en adelante, no es mucho más ruidoso que el estándar con el convertidor catalítico y el DPF. Pero, por supuesto, no está permitido conducir sin convertidor catalítico y DPF, así que lo reinstalé todo.
Tengo un sistema de escape no original de Friedrich Motorsport, un sistema de 3". El escape original es de 2,5". Quizás sea porque el sonido es así. Como era demasiado ruidoso para mí, incluso instalé otro silenciador, pero eso no ayudó mucho. Además, el sistema Friedrich sólo tiene un silenciador trasero a derecha e izquierda, lo que puede influir en el sonido.

It's just a Friedrich Motorsport exhaust system, but the DPF is deleted, hence there's no silencer except the rear mufflers.

I would remove the 3.0tdi badge if I were you. There is a huge fine for dpf delete in Germany. Car sounds great tho.
