Traveling from the Bay Area to see relatives in Crescent City, Tillamook, and Portland we have traveled this HWY 101 Oregon Coast route many times in our motorhome...NEVER gets old as we are always discovering something new each trip...We stay at State Parks, Casinos, and a relative in Crescent City...Our gig usually is to head all the way up I-5 from the bay area to Portland, visit, head west from there to the coast and Tillamook, visit, usually hit the creamery /cheese factory there then sometimes head north to see all but usually head south from there on Hwy 101 all the way to Crescent City and then back home...Points of interest , THE STATE PARKS...they are very nice especially for camping....Sunset Bay state park in Coos Bay and Harris Beach state park in Brookings comes to mind...Got to mention Misty Meadows on HWY 101 just a couple miles south of Bandon...Best Jams , Jellies, Syrups, Honey , etc anywhere...All Homemade...Port Orford is a beautiful and scenic coastal place...Big fan fan of the whole ride from Astoria to Brookings....Just south of there you have the Calif Redwoods which is another gig in itself....Highly recommend anyone to do this road trip...Guarantee you wont be sorry...
My beloved favorite place ever is the Oregon Coast. My parents lived here when I was conceived so I always say it’s in my blood.I visit several times a year. Always looking for new interesting spots to explore. Thank you for the video I truly enjoyed it.
My wife and I will be making this trek in August. We’re not going all the way South to the California border, but will definitely be checking out many of these locations. Can’t wait to visit Cannon Beach, Thor’s Well, Devil’s Punchbowl, and many of the other incredible locations on this incredible coastline.
You missed the best part of Newport which is Nye Beach, quaint with beautiful long beach which connects to small sand dunes of Agate Beach right beside it
I’m heading there next week. Was it hard to find places to get a quick drone shot? I noticed that down in Newport I’ll need to file a Laanc for the 100ft max.

Oregon coast: Over hyped and over priced and populated with weird, unsophisticated provincial locals who don't know the meaning of customer service. Been there once, and that was enough.
@Music First- I’ll bet you’re a lot of fun at parties. You’re the type of person who would proclaim the Louvre to be “a collection of boring paintings and statues”.

FYI, Yaquina is pronounced Yuh-kwin-uh. And Yachats is pronounced Yah-hots.
Can i have the name of the ocean front hotel you showed?
Bandon or Cannon Beach? Here's the place in Bandon. Does this help? www.sunsetmotel.com/
Did I miss you? Did you head to the OR coast already?!?
Hope to see you again soon!
There must not have been anything interesting to shoot in Lincoln City and Depot Bay…
For the sequel!

Couldn't see the forest for all those damn trees. Pity.
