1:03 i would also note while they are not really doing budget boards any more the price of this board is barely more than their last staple budget board.
It's also by far been much easier to obtain! Every CF before sold out in minutes and took MONTHS to resupply, only to again be sold out in minutes. Now you can pretty much get these easily wherever you can usually buy soundboard. THAT, to me, has been the best feature so far.
reviving this video, but i just ordered almost the exact same blade as youre showcasing (got triaxial obsidian hilt instead), and the blade profile selection doesnt seem to work? when i roll it it doesnt click through like spectrum does. any reason this might be happening? trying to reinstall the cfx default package from plecter labs now
If it says "blade profiles" but just doesn't change, it might not have any profiles loaded on the card. Check out the Plecter default package and copy everything from the new file under the blade profiles section.
Did your CFX board come preinstalled with the different colors and effects for the different sound fonts? I can change sound fonts but all of them seem to be set to red without different color effects. And I thought the different sound fonts would be preinstalled with different colors and blade effects for each.
you have to set them. enter spectrum and blade profiles mode. once you set it, the board will remember. default is red though as it is the first default color in the color profiles.
Also, regarding sleep mode, I had dug through some saber-fx forum posts and pieces of the manual to figure out that it was the #hsleep value I needed to update to set the sleep timer (I think it's set in seconds?) It was defaulted to 50000. I changed it down to 500 which I thought would put the saber to sleep after 8 minutes, but it doesn't sleep at all. So the battery drains after about 4-5 hours in the saber, even if I don't use it. Did I miss something in the config file aside from that sleep value? Thanks!
As of april 2021, has default TriCre configuration been fixed? I just ordered my own Obsidian Copper weave in TriCre and don't know anything about lightsabers quite yet
I don’t think it has or that it is likely to. I think the folks at Plector are not really concerned with it. good news is Bendu may soon be upping their in house preset game. in the meantime though, it is easy enough to fix on the user end.
Thanks a lot for this video. I have (I think) the same CFX/neopixel saber as you do - A bendu black obsidian, although I'm quite the neophyte with crystal focus. I noticed that when you ignited your nightfall font, and did a single press on the Aux/Power buttons, you got into spectrum mode. When I do that same press sequence, I just get a single color change with a shifting sound. Is that spectrum mode something I have to configure additionally on my SD card to be able to access?
yes. the config file has a spot for spectrum mode with a numerical value. I think mine is on 3. If it is 0, spectrum is disabled. The manual goes over the options.

indeed. All things told, it is a very Windows approach to saber boards.

hi do you kinow of a specific master orgus din sound font for cfx?
sorry but no. I have never seen one. I have seen an orgus din saber, but no font.

That cat font is extremely annoying, at least in my opinion. Thank God Sabertrio doesn't include that one in their default fonts.
The cat font is a major draw for me. But if you ever get a saber with it on there, you can always delete it.
Cat font IS hugely annoying lol makes me want to jump into the sarlac pit and be digested for 1000 years
Yea, The Nyan Cat profile is made for real men of culture and style. It isn't for everyone.
raymanblanchard you can definitely feel free to do that lol
Your other cat font is better. The one where you programmed it yourself while your were mad at Felicia.

There are two sleep values, one is sleep the other is deep. Make sure you change the sleep value to 5000, which is 5 minutes.
@@benduarmory5928 Ok, thanks! I'll give that a try.

@@DarthCephalus Thanks a lot. I did happen to find it in the manual. Got it set and working properly.
how does charging work? Does it use micro USB?
no. you take out the battery to charge it.
Is a proffie board really that tricky to program/configure?
yes.
What is the board size i can't find it anywhere !!
check the manual. It is on Plecter’s site.
@@DarthCephalus thanks man !
CFX or Proffie 2.2?
are you asking for a recommendation or which are in the video?
Darth Cephalus which one you prefer
depends on your programming ability. profile can do a lot more. CFX is a lot more user friendly. Truth be told, I think I prefer the CFX.
