Its not about sex and being gay in this movie, is a masterpiece of how 2 friends can understand each others pain, in a time where no one cares about that- but again in a brotherhood where you can care- but again you can’t cause of some terms. i just want to say that a friend who realy knows and loves you is much more than just a friend
I might be wrong but I believe that there was a sexual attraction between Albert and Friedrich. I don't think they were gay (idk, maybe they were) but they sure felt something for each other...
I really think there was just the deepest understading of each other's soul. Another higher level of friendship, more platonic than erotic. I didn't quite cathc anysexual attraction between them, but I definitely felt smth more than a friendship between two young boys.
The castle is Bouzov in the Czech republic. And the ´gestapo´ officer was clearly a czech attempting to speak german with a pretty thick accent, which sounded very funny, playing a gestapo... lol.
@@Timmyboy02 i know the dialect of Sudetengermans, my grandparents spoke it. In this scene, he clearly spoke with a czech accent which has noting to do with Sudetengermans. If you want to know how Sudetengermans spoke, you can go to Northeastern Bavaria. "Oberpfälzisch" is very similar to the dialect in the Egerland.
Every deleted scene belongs in the movie. Jede entfernte Szene gehört in den Film. The hazing for example and the Hundertschaftsführer's departure. Der Maskenball zum Beispiel und der Abgang des Hundertschaftsführers. But specially the former editor of the schools paper, a very important scene kinda just left out.
I would have kept a copy of mein kampf in my hand would argue that the supervisor is disturbing me while i am trying to read the book, and would report to gestapo about how i was not allowed to read mein kampf. Lets see
Albrecht and Friedrich is how real friendships look like
They had a strong connection indeed I personaly believe it was more than that but everyone can think whatever
I think they were more then friends
@@maliwiththreeiiis true, they were like brothers.
"friendship" yeah.
“And historians will call them best friends...”

This!!!
Mega spannend!
People who think they were more than friends might never have platonic love in their life.
why is that😿 i think their love is platonic and more than friends. Is that mean i will never have a girlfriend?😨
I might be wrong but I believe that there was a sexual attraction between Albert and Friedrich. I don't think they were gay (idk, maybe they were) but they sure felt something for each other...
I believe that as well. I think their relationship was deeper than just friendship and I can see them together if they would born in another time.

Guys this ain't Netflix where they make everyone gay. They're just very good friends
You sick fuck
couldn’t agree more. there must be feelings, or something, between the two

Could still be possible if he played a Sudeten German
Where can I watch this movie? I've checked UTube, Netflix, apple, and prime. Please help.
@@Timmyboy02 Sudeten Germans were native speakers, German was their first language. No accent.
@@daliborpuchta1952 i know, but they surely had their own dialect

Is it the standard around the world in military academies.
We call it Patti Parade. So damn good 😂😂😂
Nothing we hadn't already seen in "Taps" from 1981.
Our thoughts are free
