Love that coral winter set!! Giving main character energy for sure with your yellow jacket! I also really do think the green of the traveler's cardigan looks great on you!! I think it complements your complexion really well. The baby penguin and elephant are both SO adorable! I really want to make a baby penguin ornament now (or maybe for next year!)
Thank you!! And I'm been commissioned to make another penguin for someone for christmas so it is a testament to how fast it is to make (not like your christmas line which omg, i want to do next year ... so stinking cute)
Oh my goodness, this podcast warmed my heart so much. First of all, I love that hat that you made for your Dad and I was so sad to hear that it had been lost in the mail. So I felt such incredible joy to see that it came back to you! It must be due to all of the good karma you are creating within the knitting community and through the knitathon you are planning - I am SO impressed with all of the work you are putting into this event. The Travelers Cardigan is beautiful and I do love the color on you. And those stuffies are so precious!!! A very Merry Christmas to you and enjoy your beautiful Christmas knits!
thank you!! it was a great way to end the year ! Hope you had a good holiday period and thanks again for coming to the stream and sending your photo :D
SOOO pleased your Dad's hat came back! Great. I send a lot of knitting too and this is my concern.....some take forever to be delivered! Great podcast with a lot of inspiring knits thanks Vanissia 🙏🥰
One of my current WIPs is an Alder sweater for one of my (24 year old) daughters, and she fell in love with your version of it, especially. It looks stunning on you, so I can see why! I think the pattern is so clearly written, and fun so far. I am going to have a houseful of family during your event, but definitely will catch some of it and donate , of course!
I'm so excited for the live stream! I really hope to tune in at some point! Thanks for putting all this work into it, I can tell how passionate you are about it! And the winter set knit along sounds like just the motivation I need to do a matching set that I've been wanting to make! 🥰
I've been eyeing Claire Garland's patterns for a while now, but I haven't come around to knitting one yet. I've knit tons of toys, especially by Julie Williams, but also Susan B Anderson (I'm Lainelaine on Raverly, if you want to check them out). They make awesome baby gift knits. They are always long cherished by both parents and children. Right now, I'm knitting a festive yoke pullover by Skeindeer knits (just the yoke in colorwork) in Rauma finull. I LOVE knitting it, but I'm knitting the sweater on 3.5 mm... there is no way the sweater will be finished on time for Christmas 2023. Oh well... it will be my Christmas break knitting project!
Salut Vanissia! 🎄
Knitting thr Travellers,s cardigan at the moment, but i cant find the pattern very well explained as it gives mesurements from different places depending on the side. But i think is a nice garment and i, loving my first time knitting with manchelopis, a lot of fun. Yours look fantastic.
Merry Christmas Vanissia. Will your charity knitting special be recorded so if we miss some, we can watch later? You are an awesome event planner. WOW. I really appreciate all your efforts. Good luck with raising thousands of dollars for your charity. ❤
hello! Excellent question, ill make sure to mention next time but yes the whole 12h will be recorded and uploaded on youtube as a "normal" video as soon as possible, probably a couple days after the stream while it processes. And thank you so much for the words of encouragement!
Love your new cardigan! I think the color is really pretty on You! I would describe your Mitts & Hats color as Neon Red - depending on lighting it can look more orange, pink-red or vibrant coral. You are making amazing progress on your Holly berry sweater and it’s going to look great with the holly berry socks! I love that blue color you’ll be using for the test knit and, yes those buttons are fantastic! I am looking forward to seeing your next color work cowl! If I don’t see you before Christmas 🎄 I hope you have a very Happy Christmas 🎄
You should check out Louise Crowther animal patterns. They are super cute! Two books to check out: “knitted Animal Friends” and “Knitted Wild Animal Friends”.
My ribbing looks better on the wrong side for some reason, so I turn my work using a German short row so the wrong side of the ribbing is showing. Hope this helps and love your podcast!
I just got my seeknits mini needles today! Now I'm just wondering what the best way to store them would be! I'm also obsessed with that self striping yarn, so perfectly christmasy!
ohhh yes, it would be nice to get something to organise my circular sock needles ! I usually keep my interchangeables in the pouch they come in. And cant' get enough of the self striping!
@@thewoollyworker for the storage I'm thinking about using some liquorice /candy metal box + some felt. The box the seeknits set came in is really bad :)
Look at all your wee stuffed animals ! I agree these little projects are great palate cleansers, the same happened to me with my Xmas ornaments. I have the fox pattern from the same designer than your elephant (I think). Also if you want to try something to make the ribbing neater, I was looking at Birch and Lily mini tutorial last week. It is a very simple trick I am going to try next time I do cuffs, she uploaded it i. Her YT channel. Merry Christmas when it comes, Vanissia!
i do really like it, and i never really struggled with holes with a regular heel flap and gusset, but this one doesn't have holes either and is faster ! so all good !
Hi! Hope you don't mind me saying that the audio is really low. I had to turn my sound to the max to be able to hear you, so I assume it's the mic or the video editing?
hiya, no, thanks for telling me !! I did have problems editing this one actually, so I am sorry it's less than ideal, but will definitely make sure it's fixed for next time!!

The stuffies are so adorable. They are perfect. In nature the animals are asymmetrical so you nailed it!
aww thank you!

Thank you so much! I hope to finish it this week and give a little peak in the next video then !
Oh no! This colour suits you sooo well 🩵
Oh thank you!
The colour of your green cardigan looks fantastic on you. Perhaps it will become one of your favourites over time.
