Not your fault but the police. There was no sign of any violence from the Liverpool supporters when the police indiscriminately tear gassed people in wheelchairs, young children and elderly. I’m sick of hearing U.K. clubs getting blamed for football violence as though it doesn’t happen anywhere else, it’s in every country.
When you said clashes with Liverpool fans - I was waiting and waiting !!!!!!!!! Those are young Parisians there clashing with and chasing !!!!!!!!! , not Liverpool fans

I don't have the words to describe how as a Frenchman I am ashamed of what happened. It is unacceptable to have such an organisation for such an important event. It is a shame for my country in front of the whole of Europe. Liverpool fans, I am with you, you don't deserve such treatment.
You are a good person👍🏻. I’ve seen many French ministers already distort and propagandise what happened, praising their security and police, laundering their public image, etc😓. Neither UEFA nor the French authorities want to acknowledge the gang crime in Saint Denis is also really high? Many reports of players’ families being threatened, supporters were mugged and attacked by local gangs etc; I think Thierry Henry warned saying “you don’t want to be in Saint-Denis, it’s not Paris, it’s very different”? From the crime data this seems to be what he was alluding to🤕 But the French ministers want to blame English fans, many of whom were forced into extremely tight areas (apparently at least one person was witnessed having a seizure) and recordings with people being pepper-sprayed despite having done nothing? (To pepper spray maliciously and tear gas recklessly should be criminal😥). It is a big relief there were no casualties because there was no safety measures at all to protect the children, disabled etc. They threw tear gas into crowds just to intimidate people. What a horror show
@@96s40 the French ministers have reacted like a government before parliament elections. They prefer to find one quick scapegoat than find out all the real reasons. Liverpool fans with fake tickets have a big responsibility yes, but the uefa security strategy and staff was vastly underestimated to face huge numbers of potential ticketless fans, looters and crowd movements. It's maybe due to the short time of preparation and football culture... The same afternoon, there was Roland garros 1/8 finals in Paris, European Rugby final in Marseille, Film festival closing ceremony in Cannes... There weren't one incident to notice. I'm not worried by the Olympics 2024 nor the Rugby world cup 2023 because the crowds are 'different' and the security staff will be in the hands of France, but there are real concerns on the security access around the stade de France to solve. The neighborhood is not the safest one unfortunately.
Dear Joe Mary: Is it your countrymen or "Heysel," Liverpool? ------------------------------------The Liverpool fans are a new set of people: some were not ready to enter Earth in 1985, and those, then, are too old now for any peccadillos, or, are, even no longer with us: Therefore, cannot reparate, neither should reparations be thought about in parts of the world, as in the USA.
You should not apologise for the left wing politics of your government. And their blind constructive ignorance of what’s going on with the migrants they allowed in. France 🇫🇷 has a great history and great people. Never give up on the old values of France which you all hold dearly. 🇫🇷💙🇬🇧
Fair play for saying that but there's a lot of bitter people in the UK who hate Liverpool and even if there were a few incidents there will always be bitter people who just love any excuse to put Liverpool down.

Young Parisians were part of the troubles, but I watched videos (like the one in recent sky News report) showing Liverpool natives jumping fences and ramming a security gate. Maybe out of frustration, or maybe because they don't have tickets I don't know. But the images are there. Organizers of this match did fail.

France can't host major football events in the next years, never seen anything like this in a Champions League final... total chaos... If you can't give the security to those who are visiting your country to watch a football match, you can't host shit... the "security" itself is attacking those people... its madness!!!
It was chaos in Wembley few months ago or during the Euro final or again in Russia a while ago...it's not France per se as they've organized bigger events in the past, it's the hooliganism and the football authorities. They must be a review to see what went wrong and how it can be avoided in the future. If there was any police abuse which is very possible as no police system in the world is perfect, that also needs to be addressed.
No problem though with other major events in the same stadium, even when terrorist attack in 2016. Better ask yourself why it is always the same lot that creates chaos: 70.000 fans, not even half with real tickets.

It is shameful and extremely disappointing. Don't worry though! French people are usually way better than that! I mean, you can easily identify who cause all the problems in the videos.
I'm FRENCH citizen and i worked for the football in general and also the security precisely so i was also there for this event when it's happened but i don't have any responsability inside that drama, so 1st I really want to apologize to the Liverpool's supporters and all the British citizens also because they were really good, friendly and happy and blameless and i try to warned some of them about what can happen like THIERRY HENRY did when he talks about St Denis it's not Paris because he knows how it's going in France and i can swear that the English are totally victims and innocents because here in France, this beginners amateur government is not good enough to manage that kind of event and everything is so politicised almost every where. It's all about SYNDICATE in every little thing. And the SECURITY COMPANY is also belongs by the people who can close easily their eyes on their SIMILAR and it's the real reason they were inside the stadium. After all this they're playing surprise to see easy terrorism attacks on France. It's a strainer. This government supposed to fall normally after a lot of strikes here in France so they negotiate a big deal with the POLICE SYNDICATE to keep the Orders Forces in their side to try to control and abuse the people with no limit and no control. That's why there's so many misfits actions. So it's more easier for them to blame the English fans just about some Bad hooligans reputations but I'm sorry, they were really good, friendly, peaceful and respectful. St Denis in France is one of the most outlaws dangerous forgotten ghetto almost like the Calais Refugees Jungle in all France and it's also where you can finding the most members of the opposite side of this actual power on top the government so Seriously they let it be to manage this situation for their political tactics and I find that so disgusting. Paris take the name of the event and let St Denis alone to manage this without almost any means and the ministry just bring many useless cops who can not even communicate in a simple understandable English but they all walked with the gass attack sprays. What's that... And why this happened only to the Liverpool's fans only and not the Madrid supporters too. Even the cops told us 1week before that they expect to have many English that they'll treat differently because the most times they make shit every where. What kind of judgement and reputation is that? They should resign after this but they are lying and trying to manipulate the situation against the Liverpool's fans just because some little English football fans have a hooligan reputation but I'm sorry because it's not right. I support the British against that because it's so unfair to condemn on them like that. Shame on this French organizations and especially this government. REALLY. They should apologize 1st and Go easy. It was ‘local’ youths that started the chaos, robbing supporters of their phones and bags, the police response was to indiscriminately tear gas fans, who had tickets and were asking for help. The french police came ready for a riot, with tear gas and water cannons and expected Liverpool fans to be hooligans, however it was LOCAL youths, many in PSG shirts takin advantage of the huge crowds of supporters and causing mayhem. All Liverpool fans were in good spirits up until that point and were mixing and laughing and joking with madrid fans. The poor organisation by the organisers and the police, coupled with the problematic local youths and the sheer volume of supporters funnelled by police into small areas was the issue…not LFC or Madrid fans.

The people in these videos being arrested by the police are the local youths who were trying to break through police lines to gain entry to the stadium. These are the same people who stabbed and robbed Liverpool AND Madrid fans before and after the game, myself included. The football fans are the ones behind fences forced to queue for hours and hours after paying hundreds if not thousands of pounds/euros/dollars to get to the match. And if some fans bought fake tickets is it really their fault? Do you think they knew they were fake or do you think they bought them on the many thousands of ticket resale sites hoping they were genuine? Massive demand for tickets because UEFA allocate 25 % to fans of each team!!

From the crime data this seems to be what he was alluding to🤕
But the French ministers want to blame English fans, many of whom were forced into extremely tight areas (apparently at least one person was witnessed having a seizure) and recordings with people being pepper-sprayed despite having done nothing? (To pepper spray maliciously and tear gas recklessly should be criminal😥). It is a big relief there were no casualties because there was no safety measures at all to protect the children, disabled etc. They threw tear gas into crowds just to intimidate people. I was there. You wouldn't have seen a punch thrown in 4 days by Liverpool fans. Massive demand for tickets because UEFA allocate 25 % to fans of each team!!

realize in which country we live I'm fed up
I'm French, but I've been ashamed of my country for a long time. I have traveled a lot, I know London and when I compare other cities in the world and Paris, I am ashamed. I live in the provinces and I no longer want to go to Paris.
Paris and to a lesser extent the rest of France has become the emigrant suburb of Europe. You were right about Brexit. For us it is too late, our country no longer exists. The soul of the French people no longer exists and it is neither a matter of bit color or religion. We no longer have a French soul, spirit or heart.
Don't come to us anymore, it's the only way to help us. Paris must burn! We need a new revolution! if we want to find our soul.
Oh dear, don't worry London is a festering crap hole as well...
I'm french
It's discasting...
It's a shame for my country
All my apologies
french police use this violence every time towards the people who live in the outskirts of Paris. They wanted to try it on english fans now. this is what they do every time with the blacks and north african locals. french police are not really different of the american one
Guys stop losing your time and energy on that crap! It's not sport anymore, it's not fun! It's bloody business...
To see CS gas being used on single fans with hands in air and kicking fans in the head after being kicked to the ground is sicking about time Police answered for they're crimes they are not above the law. SHOCKING TO WITNESS POLICE AGGRESSION AGAIN.
Makes you feel sorry for those who only wanted to enjoy the game. Liverpool fare-dodgers are to blame, though, not the police who were doing their job. This lot'll never learn.
Alan Clark - I agree well said ^
@@titierre the foul stench of a coward, who were the fare dodgers ? if you are so learned please enlighten us, We rejoice in your jealousy, if we don't hurt you why would you care about us ?
@@titierre Chinese state police “do their jobs”, that does not mean they do not abuse people. The French police are brutalists, but because it is a ‘democracy’ people believe they uphold false ideals. In plain terms, many French authorities set about to recklessly corral, brutalise and intimidate, but were completely inadequate to communicate or ensure safety.
They were disorganised and did nothing to protect innocent (mostly stunned) supporters from violent local gangs seeking to rob and attack (who were responsible for a large proportion of breaches too; you should probably look at the photographic and video recordings)- so not only do they abuse their position as authorities, they are not equipped to handle the levels of criminality which surrounded supporters and were absolutely reckless with their use of tear-gas.
You think this is the first European final where there have been people trying to cheat entry? Very telling, however, that no one remembers this level of danger, abuse and chaos in the Madrid’s hosting of the English UCL final in 2018/19 (Liverpool v. Spurs)? Got to be total coincidence… 🇫🇷 authorities’ disorganisation, incompetence, safety disregard and abuse of authority was fucking appalling.

never knew liverpool had so many black and muslim supporters
Exactly.
People are blaming the Liverpool supporters. But I've not seen one shot of a Liverpool fan being thrown out of the stadium.
Most of the people scaling the gates were local French fans.
I don't want to sound racist, but the North African type young men who usually cause problems with English fans whenever they are in Paris.
English fans no very well that the CRS (French riot police) do not need much provocation before they start baton charging.
Their dislike of English fans is also well known.
So I doubt very much that Liverpool fans started charging at gates and forcing entry.
It was the usual heavy handed approach from continental Police officers.

Let’s hope this makes uefa wake the fuck up and realise that issuing clubs as historic as Liverpool and Real Madrid 20 thousand tickets each. That’s the fukin disgrace in all this that caused fake tickets to be produced in the first place. 20 thousand tickets to corporate is a fukin disgrace, the atmosphere was dead inside the stadium after this happened and Liverpool have the best supporters in Europe in my eyes. UEFA caused this I hope the media realise this! When real fans can’t get in because of corporate issuing this fake ticket scenario will not be the last time we see this, just a shame it happened to Liverpool.

I think the performance of the French police in this event and the total lack of organisation of Paris casts serious doubts over the French ability to host any prestigious event including the forthcoming Olympics.
Totally
We will see that in 2023 (WC Rugby) and in 2024 (Olympics games). Im French and I can say that our country is in a bad shape. Its not surprising than the far right is that strong here.
Innocent children were caught up in it, too, yet UEFA insisted on blaming it on their ‘late arrival’ even though they came hours before. They only changed their mind when their darling Real Madrid addressed the situation, themselves.
Because of our reputation all English fan's are treated like animals, why are rugby fan's treated so differently ,UEFA , FIFA panic when English teams are in major finals
Stop being a hypocrite, you've never seen rugby fans causing this kind of trouble. So many English football fans are a disgrace wherever they go, makes me feel sorry for those of them who behave.
Paris is a jungle. In St Petersburg nothing like this would have ever happened
I feel so sorry for the Liverpool fans that must have been terrifying & the French have come out today blaming the English fans there was chaos at the Madrid end to it was the same for our fans in Seville both Rangers & Frankfurt released a joint statement today outlining all the failures at the Europa final UEFA can’t get away with this treating fans like second class citizens for it to happen at both finals says there’s something seriously wrong here & there better stop trying to blame the fans !!!
Apparently Rangers, Frankfurt and LFC ( and, hopefully, RM ) are jointly approaching UEFA with evidence of the fans experiences at these "show piece" finals.......it's time the whole football family started to join together to get these organisations that it's the fans and fan experience that matters ( and not the sponsors & corporates ). Without the fans, football is nothing.
They should never be awarded another final; end of.
