Hi Salty. Yeah, that's a Rudderfish. But I don't find them too tasty when cooked - they over cook too quick. They are better raw or cured in lemon juice.
Absolutely after doing research on them. That’s what I found too but they are fantastic sashimi I might even like them better than tuna! They would probably be pretty good, sesame, seared too!

I hope you got the pin bones out of that rudderfish. I go the full length and cut out the blood line too, making 4 pieces out of each rudderfish.
