@charlotte7268 1st, u should ALWAYS let ur spf dry down before applying makeup. Otherwise, u move it when applying makeup, which then defeats the purpose of the sunscreen. 2nd, there are a bunch of sunscreens that double as primers. I.e., e.l.f. but especially korean sunscreens are just elite for the reason they are made just to be used under makeup. 3rd, drmtlgy & color science each have their own tinted eye concealer to use as a base around the eyes. They are both elegant and easy to work with.

    1. What can you do for bunny lines and the wrinkle more on the inside and middle areas under your eyes?
    2. I have heard mixed info on Tretinoin v. retinol. Some say you can be on Tretinoin daily indefinitely, but I had a med spa indicate that you should be on Tretinoin for about 5 months, not longer each year, and switch to a retinol for the other 7 months. I’ve had ‘chubby’ cheeks since I was born, they were *very* chubby for most of my life - and of course I hated them until I got to be in my late 30’s - 40’s, (after which I was grateful for them!) I have the same problem/question now though…she mentions them, I’ll call them ‘chubby cheek’ lines, then speaks about having no lines at all around the eyes being a little weird (my word, not hers!) then she goes on to talk about various laser treatments so, like you I wonder if there’s some other options that got skipped over.
(Maybe filler would be an (the) option she meant for these ‘chubby cheek lines’ because I don’t see how laser resurfacing would be a good treatment for them.😊)

I watched the whole video and also wondered if there were additional options for the “chubby cheek lines” people. She might have been telling us that the rest of the video didn’t really apply to us, since the lines we’re concerned about aren’t textbook crow’s feet.

There's nothing to "fix." Crows feet are normal, healthy, acceptable, and even beautiful.

To me, crows feet are pretty.
It’s the premature crinkling of the skin that bothers me a lot.

I would NEVER use retinols around eyes. When mybomian glands are destroyed there is no fixing them. This is not something you can't test to see if it causes dry eye because once you have it you have i, there ist no going back. Dry eye can be a chronic really bad condition so using anything around the eye that would jeopardize those delicate glands is really bad advice.

I clicked on this and a bunch of other videos. And I, while disliking my VERY noticeable wrinkles in my face at 33 years old, hate that a dermatologist would talk about „aging gracefully“.
Like, thank you very much, but I am not effing rich and about to make you yourself even richer by just getting botox three or more times a year, in order to be „graceful“.
Seriously, this narrative is so so wrong, hurtful and just flat out ignorant.
As if these derms actually cared. They don’t. They are very obviously under the same pressure to „age gracefully“, which that they then recreate/ perpetuate. Caring is different.
It’s a good financial support to make people feel terrible about themselves, much better than waiting on someone walking in because of an actual skin condition.
How is no one batting an eye that people in their 20s (which could be 29 years, sure, but there are probably also equally as many people around the early 20s) seem to get a neurotoxin injected? Because it’s for „preventative purposes“? Get out of here.
While I clearly appreciate the honesty that this Dr got her fair share of work done, it would also be silly to deny it. Like people in Hollywood do…
But all these derms I see on here look like a steamed throw pillow. I am a teacher of tweens, they see this stuff. Do you honestly NOT see what you are doing here? For one, trivializing the procedure, for another, you make them think it is normal, and lastly, *necessary* to get.
    Reckless behavior.
Okay, thanks for coming to my TED talk.
