I got CO2 laser done twice to my entire face and eyes earlier this year. It really smoothed out my dull skin and gave me a radiant glow. It was painful but so worth it. I also do Botox and use Tretinoin regularly, I have no wrinkles now at age 48. If you can tolerate the pain, laser is the way to go if the wrinkles are getting deep or just starting.

If you don't mind spending the money, there are eye sunscreens like drmtlgy spf 41, colorscience total eye spf 35, supergoop spf 40, etc. I've also seen derms recommend peptide eye products in lieu of retinoids for folks who are sensitive.

I would like to try a Fraxel laser but Im afraid of the heat so I would rather stick to regular microneedling...

I’ve had ‘chubby’ cheeks since I was born, they were *very* chubby for most of my life - and of course I hated them until I got to be in my late 30’s - 40’s, (after which I was grateful for them!) I have the same problem/question now though…she mentions them, I’ll call them ‘chubby cheek’ lines, then speaks about having no lines at all around the eyes being a little weird (my word, not hers!) then she goes on to talk about various laser treatments so, like you I wonder if there’s some other options that got skipped over. (Maybe filler would be an (the) option she meant for these ‘chubby cheek lines’ because I don’t see how laser resurfacing would be a good treatment for them.😊)

I use the Paula's Choice Super Light Wrinkle defense SPF 30 around my eyes and on my eyelids with no eye irritation. It dries down matte and won't budge. It even works well as an eyelid primer for eye shadow. Most chemical sunscreens I've tried make my eyes sting and water up. I've also used the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun : Rice + Probiotics SPF50 around my eyes without irritation.
Botox alone has not helped much with my crows feet. I am age 40, grew up in the California sun and hardly ever wore sunblock. My crows feet are pretty deep and I am considering micro-needling. I would also love to hear your thoughts as a physician on red light therapy!
I have the most sensitive skin. I always get allergic reactions. I’m very dry. But I find it so fascinating that I can use my tretinoin cream 0.05% all the way to my eyes without any irritation. I can’t use it on my neck though.

There are tinted eye sunscreens that people use and apply makeup over or even regular tinted sunscreens that also help with that. There are several derm channels who've done GRWM morning routines including their makeup and tinted sunscreens around/on the eye area.

Otherwise, u move it when applying makeup, which then defeats the purpose of the sunscreen. 2nd, there are a bunch of sunscreens that double as primers. I.e., e.l.f. but especially korean sunscreens are just elite for the reason they are made just to be used under makeup. 3rd, drmtlgy & color science each have their own tinted eye concealer to use as a base around the eyes. They are both elegant and easy to work with.

I started Tretinoin a couple of months ago through Agency. I opted to try the eye cream, which contains .002% tretinoin. It doesn't irritate my eyes at all with nightly use. Is this enough tret to be effective, though? Or am I paying for something that will give similar results to other retinol- or retinaldehyde-containing eye creams?

I have used the BOJ eye serum, sunscreen & they're terrific. I have been using BOJ cleansing oil and it'sy favorite of all time. Then I use my Prequel cleanser, which is AMAZING! I stopped Botox 4 or 5 yrs ago. I'm 53. I may get a tiny bit when my kids get married but other than that I do my home treatments, wear sunscreen and a wide brim hat all the time. Most products will contain info on the label if they are not meant for use around the eye area. And it won't have sun protection benefits if it is not formulated as a sunscreen with an spf factor disclosed on the bottle.
Can I use a mineral sunscreen around my eyes and a chemical sunscreen on the rest of my face? I have yet to find a mineral sunscreen that I don't hate on my whole face.
They all sting. Best I can do is apply powder around my eyes and then apply spf around the eye withouth getting it on the lashline or upper mobile lid.
I would NEVER use retinols around eyes. When mybomian glands are destroyed there is no fixing them. This is not something you can't test to see if it causes dry eye because once you have it you have i, there ist no going back. Dry eye can be a chronic really bad condition so using anything around the eye that would jeopardize those delicate glands is really bad advice.
I see them as smile lines - a happy person that smiles and laughs easily

I have UV protection in all my eye glasses for years now. The glasses don't need to be tinted for that. Recommend

Most products will contain info on the label if they are not meant for use around the eye area. And it won't have sun protection benefits if it is not formulated as a sunscreen with an spf factor disclosed on the bottle.

They all sting. Best I can do is apply powder around my eyes and then apply spf around the eye withouth getting it on the lashline or upper mobile lid.

I would NEVER use retinols around eyes. When mybomian glands are destroyed there is no fixing them. This is not something you can't test to see if it causes dry eye because once you have it you have i, there ist no going back. Dry eye can be a chronic really bad condition so using anything around the eye that would jeopardize those delicate glands is really bad advice.
