Honestly, while Arin's explanation of Kingdom Hearts is as slapdash as can be, I can not blame him. There are way too many characters, details, events and connections between them all, that a 4 minute summary could never do it justice. Props to him attempting to explain the different versions of Kingdom Hearts that we had to deal with, altgough the first one wasn't a door, but a collection of World Hearts sunk into the Realm of Darkness, that could only be reached by a certain door.
Btw I LOVE you GG compilations! The comps off just one or one set of games are all well and good, but they’re also predictable if they’re in order and that takes away a fair bit of the magic. These are (arguably) better because you never know WHAT GG moment is gonna pop up and make your stomach cramp up with laughter.
You can tell Arin clearly knows and enjoys Kingdom Hearts. I'd love to watch them play th whole series, genuinely i would. But Arin would spend like half the time denigrating the games and a domino effect will happen and the obligatory "KH is bad/bullshit/super confusing" crap will start again all over the internet.
i think he's said that they don't play it fully bc it would take way too long +the cutscenes are too long without gameplay. but don't take me on my word. i saw someone explain why on Reddit
@@hannahrose13420 Considering they do longer episodes for certain series it wouldn't be too far out of the realm of possibility nowadays. They did do a full playthrough of Danganrompa, Paper Mario and Mario RPG after all. Though I do agree that those games are LONG. Even the DS games are like 20+ hours for a casual playthrough.

Turns out it was just the episode and Arin died so many times I thought I was stuck in a damn timeloop. To this day, I can't rewatch that section.

Damn it Arin, that was Xemnas, not Xehanort! Xehanort was the old guy you thought was Ansem, Ansem being Xehanorts' heartless. Why do they both look younger than Xehanort? Because Xehanort took over Terras' body and lost his memories and started working for a guy named Ansem but then he regained his memories and turned himself into a heartless who started calling himself Ansem. It's all very simple and easy to understand, I don't know how you got it confused.
