Citizens are responsible to "fact check" claims made by politicians using their own judgement. We aren't children who need mommy or daddy to tell us what to believe and what to think.
Some politicians take advantage of the people's trust. They lie, knowingly mislead, or use "alternative facts."

While I am amazed that CNN did a decent job, I found ABC typical of what we could expect.I hardly think its possible for the likes of O'Donnell to even come to being unbiased. I will be voting Trump just because if these people hate him so much he has got to be doing something right.

I tune in to the hill occasionally. I like the guy, but often don’t like the woman, including this woman. I think they choose annoying women to stimulate something. Makes me tune out. I do my own investigation of candidates. I don’t need anyone to tell me.

Debates should be about discussing one side's policies on issues vs the other side's policies on issues. They should be allowed to compare their policies to the other side's policies and to show how they differ, but, PERSONAL ATTACKS between the 2 Debators should not be allowed...nor should they be allowed to launch personal attacks against the Presidential candidates on either side. I want to see them discuss the ISSUES, not each other. These Debates are POORLY Moderated. Also, one candidate should not be allowed to criticize the other candidate's policy on an issue without first stating and explaining their policy on that issue. Harris kept attacking Trump's policies, without even telling us what her policy on the issue was. That makes no sense to me.

@@scott_nuttI completely agree with you, which is why I enjoy listening to what Niall has to say, and even Jessica at times, but Nomiki tends to rely too pronouncedly on emotionally-charged rhetoric and even blatant falsehoods other times she’s been on to make a point, and that I’m not particularly fond of, as there’s no true substantive discussion in that. That’s been my problem at times with Robbie, because he has some of those same tendencies, though not to that extent. I enjoy the concept of reasonable, civil political discourse, and take no issue with hearing perspectives which dissent from my own, but she tends not to actually provide much depth in her perspective. I think Amber and Niall would be the greatest hosts I’ve seen on Rising who provide intelligent, sufficiently-articulated, and succinct perspectives and arguments. That’s merely my own interpretation, though.

The forward to project 25 is written by Kevin D Roberts not JD Vance. Vance wrote a forward to another book By Kevin called Dawns Early Light. Nomiki said at 9.53-956 he wrote the forward to project 2025. At first i wasnt sure if she meant vance or peter thiel, regardless neither of them wrote the forward to project 2025. He did write a forward to another of his books which hasnt been released yet.

No, QR codes are pointless, I have voice recognition on all my ti's, why would I need a QR code, when I go out to eat with my wife we leave our phones in the car so we talk instead of staring at our phones, I don't want a QR code I want a menu, there's litterally no reason for QR codes when I came say hey Siri 😅

Democrat Tim Walz and Republican JD Vance are set to meet Tuesday night in the only vice presidential debate of the 2024 election - and in what might be the last time the two campaigns square off onstage.
The matchup between Walz, the 60-year-old Minnesota governor, and Vance, the 40-year-old Ohio senator, is being hosted by CBS News and taking place in New York, without a live audience.
The debate coincides with huge news stories unfolding at home and abroad - including Hurricane Helene recovery efforts across the southeastern United States, and the Middle East on the brink as Israel escalates its campaign against Iran-backed militant groups in Lebanon.
Vice presidential nominees traditionally play the role of attack dog for the top of their tickets - in this case, Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris and Republican former President Donald Trump.
But Walz and Vance have also hammered each other for months. Walz earned the Democratic vice presidential nod in part because of his branding of the GOP ticket as “weird” in television interviews that served as semi-auditions for the role. Vance, a military veteran, has questioned Walz’s service record.
Walz is only 60, he looks closer to 70.

@5 min mark - Robby can be quite pretentious…his hot hate take on QR codes belies the fact that for millions of older, less tech-savvy folks, the convenience of letting your phone’s camera lead you directly to the applicable log-in screen (or product website) enables those folks to access things they might otherwise be unable to do on their own.
QR codes are not that big of a deal. Geez!

It would not be surprising to hear Walz bring up that comment, in particular, in attacking the Republicans’ rhetoric.
For weeks now, Vance and Trump have been doubling and tripling down on false claims that Haitians in the Ohio city are abducting and eating their neighbors’ pets.
Walz seems unlikely to want to litigate it onstage, but Vance could make him try.
If past performance is any indication, Vance will hammer Walz over his military record.
Republicans, Vance in particular, have accused the governor of overstating his resume and retiring prior to his unit’s deployment to Iraq, claiming Walz proactively tried to avoid serving in combat. A review of the records found that Walz filed to run for Congress, in February 2005, before his unit was notified it could deploy to Iraq. He retired in May 2005, according to the Minnesota National Guard.
He literally had a rank on his website that he never achieved and lied about being in a warzone. He also lied about being in Hong Kong during tiananmen square. There's no accusing he literally did it several times.
Others in his unit claimed they all knew about the deployment well before his run for congress and his retirement. Walz also stated initially that he would continue his service despite his run for congress. It's definitely a vulnerability along with his misstatements about his rank and deployment. I hesitate to call them lies because, as we know, "It's not a lie if you believe it." (George Costanza)
Senior leaders were notified before formal notification. Others in the leadership group confirmed it and Waltz said at the time he knew they were being deployed and he would deploy.

I like vance a lot. Smart, personable, has a lot of facts at hand. Savvy guy. Good family man. I think people just accept what news tells them. Do your own investigation. Listen to both sides. Get their policies from the candidates, not from opposition.
