Yeah, I can see that. Bronson played an assassin in other movies like The Mechanic, so this would've been familiar territory for him. But I'm actually glad he didn't because A) He would've been 69/70 when this was made and it'd be pretty weird seeing an old man being the Irish mob's number one hitman (Chuck was just turning 50 at the time but looked significantly younger, so he'd be more believable), and B) We got to see Chuck Norris play a darker character than he usually did in his other movies and he absolutely nailed it.
Cannon was the king for putting out these types of movies back in the day. If only they had stuck to cranking these bad boys out instead of getting ambitious and trying to do big budget stuff they had no business doing they'd likely still be around and making decent action films still to this day.

I watched Marked for Death recently. Steve Seagal punches Jamaicans while Keith David cashes a pay-check in a world were Chicago is a short train ride from Jamaica. Also, it's really dumb. I hope you do a review of it.
His custom subcompact shotgun in this movie is one of the best ever. It's better than the one from Desperado since that one was a "rabbit-ear" sidelock side-by-side with double triggers, whereas this one is a hammerless boxlock over/under. It's hard to tell whether it has a single trigger or double triggers. Even the box art makes it hard to tell for sure. Single trigger would be better since you're not going to be firing double-shots out of a shotgun pistol. One major improvement would be to put a rubberized backstrap on the grip to make it more comfortable to shoot one-handed. That sort of thing could be slipped over the grip and wouldn't interfere with the tang safety. Of course, it would cover part of that nice looking wood grip, so it might detract from the aesthetics a bit, but that sort of concern only applies to the world of movies. 4:25 Unfold that stock, greenhorn! 11:19 Was that a subtle reference to 'Freaked'? 11:48 What is it with Norris and Seagal fastening their top button?! NO ONE does that IRL! If you're not wearing a tie (which a freedom-loving individualist ought not be wearing anyway since it's a symbol of slavery), there's no point in fastening the top button. It makes you look like a dweeb and/or narc (and I don't mean the video game NARC). Cinema Sins would back me up on that. 12:42 AMD-63 or '65. Richard Crenna used an AMD-65 in First Blood, Part 3. The '63 has a fixed stock. The '65 has a side-folding T-stock. The "T" stands for "trash." L-stocks are better. Still not great, but better. Note: Looked it up on IMFDB and it's an AMD-65, a Hungarian vehicle crewman's rifle. They were issued to vehicle crews with 20-round mags to make them easier to use from inside a vehicle. If you're fighting from inside a vehicle, you might have a reason to leave the stock folded. Movie people leave stocks folded because they're gun-dumb. God I miss the old school action genre. And the old school weapons. Back when the 9mm was made of steel, SMGs only ran out of ammo because the plot said so, every cop was an unkillable martial arts badass and literally everything exploded when struck by a car. Side note: That Smith and Wesson 5900 is and always will be the best 9mm. 15 round magazine with a magazine disconnect safety, double/single action trigger, and even weight distribution that makes recoil a distant memory. Christ I remember firing one as quick as I could pull the trigger and never moving off Target it was so well made. Not even Beretta 92’s are that good. But of course “it’s too heavy wah”. So the only way to get one is gunbroker and to pay out the ass for spare magazines. Such a horrible fate for such a perfect sidearm. Glock can kiss my ass. God things were so much better in the 80’s and early 90’s.
