The home of unseen amateur Isle of Wight cine film from a golden era .
Maybe you remember those days when the sun seemed to shine constantly and the steam trains ran throughout our island ?
Well Isle of Wight Archive is here to bring back those memories .
These vintage films are taken from the original one off reels and scanned to digital formats by myself .
I also do sprinkle in some modern Isle of Wight film of things happening at the moment .
I always welcome your comments and memories associated with each film .

Swansea and the Gower (fairwood common/cefn bryn area for camping scenes maybe).
Not sure about the parts with the people walking through the street.
1962 was the first year motor buses were introduced in Cardiff - replacing the trolley buses. South Wales Transport had been formed as early as 1914.
I think the parade is beneath Cardigan Castle - and it is probably Easter

It's all lovely, but the family in blue at 1:59, and all the schoolkids dressed so nicely, so nice to see. I wonder where they all are now?
That takes me back such good times you can't beat a camping holiday even in the rain. I'm to old now but I have still got the tent under the stairs I just can't bring myself to part with it Happy Days
