This is my first Mothman event and I have to say that after running a couple of events this is quickly becoming one of my favourites, all hail the Mothman lol
Would be better if the frame rate didn’t suddenly drop to 20 per second… or constantly freeze up forcing me to close and open the game again and again…
I get 3 hours Monday thru Thursday night to play because I work. So last night I got my first three runs and for reward plans I got 3 plans that I already know. Love this event. Hope to get at least one new plan. All hail the Mothman.
Last time I opened a mothman cultist pack that was leftover after the event and got a perfect egg. And I'd already read what to do with it because I was trying to do some recipe research. Well you could probably hear my cussing a mile away It's a bit more complex than what you explained lorewise. To start with, they aren't pretenders. Mothman cultists that attack during this event are part of another sect, aka the one that causes trouble in the wasteland. The cultist npcs that run the event will tell you so. And so will another source, Steven Scarberry, camp ally extrodinare. Scarberry will tell you about things from the mainline cult's point of view. In addition, the more times you complete the event, the more mothman holy books you'll unlock in the church. These also contain important lore about point pleasant, lore that's normally locked and inaccessible. It is not advisable that you attempt to AFK this event. There are too many enemies in the later stages. I once placed my camp just inside the event area to see if I could farm the mobs, and got consistantly attacked by vengeful mothman even though I was on the other side of the southern bridge. As for Scarberry, I did some tests last time. He has no reaction to the other sect of th ecult. He has no reaction should the moth men attack your camp. He has no reaction to the sky changing color. He has no reaction to being attacked by his "gods" or to Interpreter Clarence calling out instructions, presumably in "telepathy." (Maybe the moth dust makes you trip balls? IDK?) You cannot give him albino stag blood either. He will fight the cultists and wrathful mothmen. Deathclaws spawn during the siege near the bridge pyre, making this a good way to get their drops. So tell the hemlock holes cook its time to get moving! There's steak to be grilled!!!!
As a new player, i run to the river and shoot the vines, then the church and i stay there. I stay and try to kill everything that comes for the fire. Easy peasy, im sure I'll learn the route but with no jetpack and low AP to keep running, this is the way.
That's a really great way to do it. Yes! Without a jetpack it takes forever to navigate those ladders. We'll have a jetpack video for you soon. I promise.
Bridge pyre is better. You get like 4 or 5 deathclaws and ton of cultists. There are usually plenty of players defending it. I got abandoned at one event yesterday and we lost it. I can't kill 2 deathclaws and 5 cultists at the same time.
@@Flip86x i just did the water side one, I got in on a few deathclaws but some dude kept spamming plasma grenades slowing down the game. Still a good time though still no moth display.
The chill skull mask goes surprisingly well with my jaguar suit. 😁 I have only gotten to do 2 events since I can't play until I get home from work. But I hope to get some good stuff this weekend.
Interesting. Do you have some special music instruments or bandanas related to Mothman? For the Mothman Equinox, beyond keeping the fires lit, Is there anything else a player can do to increase the odds of obtaining a good plan at the end of the event?
I think it was hour 4 from the event starting that I saw my first lot of AFKers - 4 that were already at Pt Pleasant before the event started. All seemed to be dead so I suspect that they might be doing the Fasnacht trick of being dead to score the rewards without participating- all were in corners of buildings. I still have deathclaw meat from the last time the event ran sitting on one of my mules as well as a pile of plans I haven't got round to selling. I'd kept 4 bug zapper and 4 mothman incense plans on the off chance they might become tradeable - which is now the case.
you should really try using the stabilized perk with PA since you love your holy fire. maxed out 3 stars if +45% armor penetration and excelllent accuracy using heavy weapons with PA you will notice a huge difference
Best Event in the game hands down. Meat Week sucks. Fasnacht turns Helvetia into an AFK encampment. Holiday Scorched is a senseless grind, Alien Invaders is lame. But the Mothman Equinox never gets old. And, WE LOVE YOU No0dlP4ntz
For me the very first one at 9:00am PST didn't launch though all the stuff was there. The two after that worked fine and the third crashed. It's a very popular event. There will be server overload. Be patient. In a couple of days it will smooth itself out.
Build-a-bear made one, part of a cryptic series theyre doing if I remember right. I was the first of the set and came out maybe like 2-4 months ago I think Edit: "it was the first not I" mb if anything was misinterprited
@TheJwizzle1988 you have to kill random legendary high cultists. They're scattered around the map. There is one at relay tower em b1 27 & the little shack just north of 76

I'm going to take a very long break, probably permanently from F76, cancel F1st, and play Diablo. Let's see how many players are going to remain after the next update, I have over 70 on my friends list, and 64 of them disappeared after the pts announcement, Bethesda have managed to nerf the whole game😒

I finally got a jet pack, and it does make a difference in-game, especially during events.

it not realy every hour is more every half hour rounds the round it self most time cost 10 a 15 min
Heres an easy tip for you. Play the objective.
Side tip: dont be an AFK prick and expect 5 people to complete the event for you.
