@@HistoryVictorum Comment on the Parthenon video: I'm pretty sure that the western end of the building, the end closer to the Propyleia, was actually the way into the Opisthodomos, or the rear of the temple (the treasury etc.)--no admittance in ancient times. To enter the Naos and the main part of the cella, you had to go around the building, entering from the eastern end. That end would have a double row of columns in front. I understand that much of this will be rebuilt in coming years. Very thrilling to live at a time when things are being restored to their proper form.
5:02 - the new arrivals in the lands of P/B/Elasgians and their Zeus. Why are all the statues with broken heads? Is it not because of the Thracian hats, showing ethnicity?
And here we have in this relief a fragment from the Golden Age, it is believed to be Nike Jordan, step brother to Athena Nike, with wings, now omitted, soaring through the air.
They should have done the roof on the south side (mid section) to protect the reliefs. Not an extensive restoration, only as a measure against the elements.
appeal to western world every holy book teaches this respect old age people respect women people cover all body with clothes as GOD said to adam and his wife hwa do not cross relatives rights and limits given to mankind by God we must respect brothers sisters mothers and old age people etc
Don't forget to show and criticize the awful "restoration" of the temple of Nike, making the slender ancient columns wearing fat diapers (in new, white marble) as "restoration," They looks repulsive instead of attractive. Btw/ it doesn't seem you read, much less answer, the communications from the visitors to your vids. So, there.
The restoration (and not "restoration") is a methodic and painstaking procedure. During medieval years the temple was dismantled and disappeared as pieces in the Frankish castle on site. Most of these pieces were recovered and you see them now as a temple. Recently, the whole temple was totally dismantled (again), each piece was numbered and carefully restored and then went back to its correct place. New white marble is necessary to fill in the missing parts and distinguish itself from the originals. The fat "diapers" are new parts of the columns before chiseling out the flutes which is being done at spot as in ancient times. You criticize things you know nothing about!
@@jorgejorge2151 Well, I am sorry, oh wise one, who knows everything. We bow before you, and hope a statue of you is erected inside the "restored" temple of Nike, for us the menials, to worship. Would you like the statue to be naked or wear a diaper?
