I like that McFarlane was able to get this into people's hands under $100. It could have had working lights, and more paint, but that would have raised the price. It's nice getting a collectable that doesn't break the bank.
I have this Batmobile and the Mezco '89 Keaton Batman...I have no regrets about purchasing either 😉 🎉👏😁👍
The scalpers on evilBay keep pulling down their listings because they're not getting $150 or more for these. I'm just gonna be patient and ride this one out.

I don't use that figure for going inside the Batmobile. I use a different one. I much prefer to have that one out on display. I don't put the Neca one in the Batmobile either. Again, I prefer it out on display. The best one for this Batmobile is Mattel 6 inch Batman '89 (Toy version). You can make it look like he's actually driving the thing.
I wish I could find this because everywhere is over charging it

My favorite pose from any poster or promotional image for Batman '89 was Barman standing next to the Batmobile. Thats how i would display it. It is in this that you can see that the Batmobile is a little out of scale, there is an image of batman next to the Batmobile with his fist resting on the "hood" of the batmobile, With the figure, the fist seem to be a long way, away from that part of the batmobile.

The 1989 film used a created color dubbed "Flip Flop" with a more matte finish that had some purple hues in the right light. In Batman Returns the Batmobile is gloss black.
Nice video. Sounds like they made the canopy grey because the car has aged. That was my take anyway. I did see a cool video of a guy not only repainting the whole car but installing lights too. He reshaped the canopy and did a great job.
If you do mod the second batmobile, I would love to see a matte coat done on the vehicle.
I think the spin master one has better proportions, I like mcfarlane but they always feel a little cheep but Under $30 for his figures is better then $50 for Neca, which isnt always better in quality and often breAK, All of my ali8ens figures were either warped, had wire issues in the tails or paint stuck joints.i have had very feiw qc issus with mcfarlane.

The render they use on the box is something that first caught my eyes. I went back and forth in the video and noticed things that, yes, are worth customising… but it shows that many elements are either absent or wrong.
We’ve yet to see the vehicle as it is in the movie which is a bit of bummer. But I can three things that are worth pointing out: no fuel caps (sometimes black or grey). On the tires, the hub cabs are supposed to be silver. And, of course, the glass of the canopy is oversized. I’m sure it’s to make sure that this is to accommodate the figure in the car… but it is weird to see that.
It certainly is an affordable alternative, but far from reaching a level of authenticity. They knew what they were doing by releasing this vehicle before the movie comes out. I look forward to see the improvements… but it’s gonna be an easy pass for me.
The REAL problem with the canopy is the totally WRONG shape…..it should slope much lower toward the front, (Batman will still fit)….
Rear wings seem to be sized ok
tho i have this but i want to customize it to a 2 seater -thats the issue that really bothers me coz its 2023 and we are back to the Kenner area under "Mc-Kenner"

I am not a fan of the canopy mold. it reminds me of the windows of a banquet hall in a golfing resort. i dont see how spinmasters got the right mold and Mcfarlane out of all people got it wrong. I did notice that when it comes to the front end of the car both brands share the same mistake on the turbine mold being dipped in lower than the wheel covers. i still think the spinmasters car is an improvement over the other 89 batmobiles we have been getting when it comes to action figure vehicles.. i may be wrong on the canopy mold depending on if they changed it in the new movie because after all the 89 batmobile did get destroyed in that alleyway

To me, I'm kinda bummed that it isn't a matte finish, I don't like how it just looks so reflective and that it looks a little disproportionate on some parts.

I cant get past the fact that its a one seater. I could (shouldn't have to) but could pant thr canapy. I couldnt codt that much to makenit wide enough for 2 figures. Als lo this is actually a 1/12 6" scale. Iron worls who makes a true 1/10 scale and ridiculous expensive versions shows that if this was a true 1/1[ scale and 2 seater it would have to be 28" long not 22.
