Great video! I have been looking for this very subject. I want to add charcoal to my graphite pencil drawings to add more depth to my work. Thank you for the detailed instructions and demonstration! You are an amazing artist!

Hi! Thanks for this video. I really loved that drawing of the apples that you showed at the start. Do you have a video of how you drew that? I’ll give the faber-castell charcoal pencils a go. 👍🏻

Wow interesting! I just checked my "Faber Castell Design Ebony," extra smooth pencil and its a value scale 2,. I have that same value finder. I have always loved working with Graphite. Have you tried the Faber-Castell Pitt Matte Graphite Pencil - 6 Pencil Tin Set? It has a 10B and 12B so I might order it to try. Your work is just so beautiful!!!!

Thank you so much for the compliment! No I hadn't heard of that set by faber . . Is it new ? I'd be very interested to try and review for the channel 😊

SO SO helpful. I’ve been using dollar tree graphite actually not too bad! And Generals charcoals. I do have Faber Castell harder stick pastels, their black in the set is very dark. I’m wondering if it’s made from charcoal?

thank you for your comment and your question . the faber castell polychromos pastels are not charcoal . pastels and charcoals are different products but the black should work similarly and are fully compatible .

What' about Faber Castell Pitt Graphite Matt?? They look like Charcoal, yet they behave more like a graphite pencil rather than charcoal. Doesn't that mean, we can have even better results using the Pitt Matt, instead of charcoal? (Just a theory, haven't tried out to see how that would work!)

Thanks for your comment 🙂 at the time of filming this, that product did not yet exist. However I have since purchased that product for review. They are pretty good but not perfect ☺️ I'll keep you updated .
