    What about graphite watercolors? You also have loose charcoal, I like the feel of the charcoal so used the thick sticks, I didn't like the pale delicate willows.

    But the problem of charcoal is that it stains the colors. How do you fix this situation?

    You can pick pencils and charcoal, they don't cost much, you'll be spending more on the paper you buy.
