I’m a public school teacher. To your point about health education in schools, curriculum does evolve overtime, so hopefully students where you are are now learning more about healthy eating!
I teach in Alberta, Canada, and we do have a mandated health curriculum that includes healthy eating. Most teachers will be teaching about the importance of this through many different experiences and programs.
Teachers wear many, many different hats. It is key that families take responsibility for educating their children about nutrition, too. ❤️🇨🇦

Thank you so much for the walk around Windsor Great Park, it brought back such happy memories for me as I lived in Ascot before moving to North Norfolk and my happy place for running was this lovely park. Josie, I am learning with you, and I’m much older. A lot of this wasn’t common knowledge 10-15 years ago, and certainly not when I was young! Good that we’re learning now, though. Have a wonderful vacation!
We were supposed to go to the Maldives last year but it got cancelled for some unknown reason. We decided not to rebook and are using the money for lots of smaller trips instead, but thank you for all your Maldives content so I can live vicariously through you!

I’ve also been trying to switch to more natural products and have found lots of great ones. It is hard to switch 100% but I think any step in the right direction is definitely going to benefit you ❤️
For hair products, I have found Alba Botanicals to be great! I like the shampoo and the conditioner is decent but not the most hydrating (although I have super thick, slightly coarse, wavy hair). So I make sure to supplement some hydrating leave in / post shower products. I live in the US so not sure if that’s available to you, but you could give it a try! 😊

Also Josie, sorry to comment again rather than include in my first. It’s so wonderful to see someone speaking about inner health! I would highly recommend seeking a breakdown of the chemical structure of your tap water from your provider. A reverse osmosis or distiller for drinking water is a must if you are concerned about health. Have a wonderful break.
About eating thirty different vegetables a week … that’s such wise advice, and I can’t wait to see how you curate your veggie garden this year. You are so right about "stuff" that we should learn in school, Josie. I do remember you mentioning handing personal "finance" a few months ago, and yes, good nutrition would be another one! But, I guess society would tell "us" that they are more personal goals, and won't help you achieve a "job" - if I do make sense - it's more about achieving your role into the society in reverse of achieving the best version of yourself. Which is sad, when you think about it. Wish you and Charlie the best of times in your vacation :)) P:S: The green jumper you wore in the car ... A dream! :)

Can't wait to see more of the Maldives and what island you are on. It is confusing as to how different the pricings are on holidays to the Maldives and maybe you could explain that. Give us some hints on the best places to go and for smaller budgets. I have to say Josie when it opened up with you without foundation on I thought what has Josie done she looks younger and it goes to show that foundation is not really needed on a lot of people and your natural skin tone was lovely. I have oatmeal every morn and fruit and chia and flaxseeds and glad to see you are too as can only help.

I find Jo malone is a great price in duty-free. I usually go for sprits and perfume, been Irish the prices of alcohol here is very high compared to the UK and other countries. So, picking up alcohol is a lot cheaper .

Enjoy your stay in the Maldives ,I think it is as I have been quite a few times and if you ever get a chance the sea plane approach is much better than the speed boat as you get an aerial view of the atolls . We roughed it though and travelled there in economy as the price was over 10 k each a seat just after covid , and with a spinal injury was very difficult compared to the journey in first class to Japan and china I took . Its such an unfair world with air travel, business and first class are filled with young able people capable of sitting upright for 14 hrs overnight and economy with elderly and injured and disabled and people struggling with babies that could do with a lie down and more space makes me feel uncomfortable , money talks . Would so love to see it the other way round ! lol
❤josie when you are making all your oats and berries etc and putting them into smoothies format you are making them harder on your gut and making them as refined sugars as they are broken down too much when they enter the gut. The chewing and saliva covering the food in the chew hits your gut much better and you retain the goodness in your body slower not like the liquid hit you are doing with blending the food in the smoothie . ❤
