When you are watch a RUclips video on how to loom knit a scarf and realize you've been over-thinking a project for a week. I have been trying to make a men's scarf NOT look girly for a long time. I was just using complicated patterns Thank you for this video.
I'm finishing my first scarf, I'm making 2 more for my teens. THANK YOU TUTEATE for teaching me how!
Thank you for making this tutorial. I love how you show us how to cast on, do the stitches and cast off. I like an all in one tutorial and that is what you gave us. Thanks again for posting it.
+Zig g thank you so much for your comment and nice feedback :)
Tuteate onde posso comprar este tear de plástico porque o de prego enferruja MT por favor

Tuteate, thank you for this video, it helps a lot...I wish then end of it was included...all in one video to see how to bind off...can you re-do this video with the bind off included...from cast on to bind off...the scarf is so beautiful...this will be my next project...thanks :)
Great tutorial 👍🙏🏻
Great video! It was easy to follow.
This was an amazing video! I loved it and been looking for one of these for days! Thank you so much but I have an idea for another tutorial, how to change colors because I still don't know how to do that:/ again, thank you so much for this video!
Your tutorials are so clear! Could you do more using the rectangular loom, please?
Sara B a good one and the family of 95 to 9
IT'S EASY TO CHANGE COLORS. Just tie on a new color with a tight knot and keep on stitching. You can do this as many times as you want to. Cut off the old and tie on the new.
Maine first time try kiya hai but video dekh kar samajh agaya
tank you so much
Please finish your videos to the end. I just messed up my project!!!!
The video shows cast on, stitch and cast off. That's a finished project.
Nice scarf must say 😀😀😀😁😁😄😄
i love
Can you do the double Stockinette version
on the verge of frustrated tears trying to bind of my scarf!
Yep. @ 5:41 she just leaves you in the lurch. She doesn't FINISH the whole scarf. You have to rewind to 4:35 and repeat the step from the beginning.
How to combine multilple colors in the scarf? Btw nice video!
Umm at the last what should we do just repeat??
❤🥰🙏 muchas gracias, estoy hecha LA MOCHA yá tejiendo mis bufandas , 😘👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️👏🏻
If i follow the steps at the end are both end on the scarft going to look the same ?
Where can I get a loom like the one you used on the video
hey just a quick question mine has become extremely tight. is there a way to fix that?
Good to finally see another video, but didn't you do this before?
Hi Nathan! Yes, we have been away for a while but we hope we can keep sharing videos as usual from now on :-) (thanks for being here). You are right, this video tutorial was already available in Spanish and we have translated into English in case anybody could needed in this way :-)
Hi, the scarf is amazing just like the others in your channel and it's shown super easy to do, so I'm making one for my mother and I wanted to ask how much yarn shall I use to make a scarf at least 150cm long?
Ariadna er-Avarr hi! Thank you so much :) Here we knitted a very long scarf (210cm long) and we used 360 meters of yarn approx. : www.tuteate.com/2012/11/13/teje-una-bufanda-con-telar/
What do you mean by when you say " at the end of a skein joint threads by making a not " .. I still haven't got my scarf to the length I want it but this part is very confusing ! help?
Hi...is this same as figure 8? I have been doing on stitch in my long loom and I thought it was 8 stitch...are they the same? Thanks...love your videos!
Helpp mee pleasee
Its coming out super loose no matter how tight im holding it.
Is this normal or is something wrong with my loom
Im using the rectangular one
Please someone give me advicee
same ;(
Is it by number or can I add on more pegs to make it wider?
How many rows do you think you did?
Could this stitch be done on a s loom?
how long does this take to do?
Thanks for the video. What is the weight of the yarn you are using. I have a bunch of medium (#4) weight yarn that I was thinking of using. Can I use this or should I get a 5 or 6 yarn?
Aimee S hi! Here we used a yarn called Phildar Rapido, which is recommended for knitting needles of 6mm - 7mm (I guess this is yarn #5). You can use yarn #4, but maybe the result will be looser
Almost every row is shown step by strep, from first peg to the last...except the most important ones: how to knit off...
Corrun hi! You are right (we had problems recording the end of this tutorial). You could check how to bind off here: ruclips.net/video/8xXkFoEbYKY/видео.html Or also see another binding off method in this other video tutorial: ruclips.net/video/prz7xum6Wo4/видео.html
How to tighten stitch
What's the size of the scarf u made?
Price of that loom
u didn't finish it because I got stuck at the end don't know what to do, plz help me 😢😳
Can you show us how to switch colors?
Hi there! Sure, we can show how to switch colors on a rectancular loom in a future tutorial :-) For the moment, here you have some other projects that may be helpful: How to Loom Knit a 2-Color Hat (DIY Tutorial) and How to Loom Knit Fingerless Mittens (DIY Tutorial)
This is my first 'project' on a rectangular loom. Clearly I'm doing something wrong: my stitches are very loose, although I wrap the yarn tightly around the pegs. I started 4 times, cast on etc but the stitches stay loose 😑. I'm using Phildar Partner 6. Could the yarn be too thin? Or am I using the wrong loom (pegs too far from each other? 2cm)
I started all over again, using 2 strands of yarn. The stitches are tighter now. It looks and feels thicker. Perhaps a little too thick.
Hi Kira! I used the Phildar Rapido, which it is a bit thicker, but I think Phildar Partner should work too. Maybe you just need to be a little patient, and wait for your knitting work to be longer. Usually, when your knitting is close to your pegs, it may look with "holes" but later on, when it goes far from the loom, the stitches get closer...
@@Tuteate You might be right about the patience thing. I'll keep that in mind next time. I did want to get the rapido but unfortunately it wasn't in stock.
But I've knitted like 10cm now (2 strands, partner 6) and I think it looks very nice. Hopefully, it will be comfy to wear as well 😊. Anyway, thank you for responding. Have a great weekend!
Kira R. Mine are too
Hi, can you tell does the scarf look the same in both sides?
+qianhong zhou i did it and it is the same in both sides!hope i helped!
@tuteate a friend's loom broke. Can you, please, tell me how to replicate the stitch pattern?
On knitting needles
Im so confused 😕 did you take pegs out of your loom is that whats wrong?
What is loom please help me in urdu
what is the standard length of a scarf?? i am doing mine, but i dont know when to stop. i think i already have around 160-170cm
Kate Ranada hi! 160-170cm are a good length for an standard scarf :) (here you will see we loom knitted a very long one: www.tuteate.com/2012/11/13/teje-una-bufanda-con-telar/ which was 210cm in length). By the way, if the last part of this video tutorial is not clear enough on how to bind off the scarf, we suggest you to have a look at this other video tutorial: ruclips.net/video/8xXkFoEbYKY/видео.html
Hi what size yarn did you use for the Stockinette Stitch Scarf?
that's what I was wondering too
that's what I was wondering too
Jessekey KAlsn
I am making a scarf of several colors. I need two things 1 how to change color 2 all I want to make is aknit no pearl so it ribs. Is this the right pattern for that? I'm making my first project of this type.
clasicradiolover hi! You don't need to purl on this project :) And here you have another basic scarf you could check: ruclips.net/video/prz7xum6Wo4/видео.html
You miss understand. I said no pearl I want it to look like www.doctorwhoscarf.com/s12.html
The holes in my scarf are pretty loose what am I doing wrong I've watched your video a few times
Partycat hi! Is your yarn very thin? Here we are using a thick yarn, recommended for knitting needles of 6mm - 7mm. Thinner yarn leaves more "space" between pegs, so the result seems to have more "holes" and be more loose...
the very 1st peg wrap was not shown. cant watch the rest.
this is not easy it will really take time and concentration
Background sound is so creepy
Knitting a stockinette stitch is so easy, you knit one side and then purl the other on straight needles. On circular needles you set up the row and then knit all the way until you’re done. Idk why this whole loom idea confuses and frightens me 😩😭
great until it comes to the cast off, then uses a different loom & in a different direction, pointless for beginners
Yarn is to dark
The "Flat Knot" is called a Reef Knot. Trust me, I do Scouts Australia.
Hi please go slow for me to learn
You did awesome job but worse thing is you didn't complete the lock job just you did stupid thing because most of people Dong know how to knot..
Hi Halima! Yes, you are right, my recording got cut when I was binding off, so I couldn't completely show how to do it. You can check this other project to see how to bind off: ruclips.net/video/prz7xum6Wo4/видео.html
How to combine multilple colors in the scarf? Btw nice video!
Where can I get a loom like the one you used on the video
DAZE LOWAZE hi! Maybe you could check on Amazon :) (looking for a "rectangular loom")
ok thankyou
