As an 'Aleppian' I hated even passing by this market (it's called The Darkness merket -souq al etmeh-) it's a stinky place , poor hygienic practises; having said that , because of its location , it still gets a good volume of customers...

This is NOT souq al madina. This is called souq al etmeh. It's one of the worst places in Aleppo. Souq Al Madina is something else.
no health code no refrigeration. and yet they have the most delicious food there is...it is a mystery .

Nowadays, we are not even be able to walk through this same market. It is all devastation, dry blood and human remains. Such a shame! #GutWrench
