These have been heartbreaking but very important videos you have been releasing. It is very sad how these wars impact the working class so disproportionately. Thank you for finding the beauty where you can. 🙏
Great to hear that this place is being rebuilt. I wish peace to the people of Syria so many refugees who fled will one day return to their beautiful country.
Hi Yves: I have written to you before. I am very impressed by your visit to Aleppo. As I told you before I taught people/teenagers from war torn countries. Thi video reminds me of a young woman aged 16/17 who was in my classes. When the real bombardment of Aleppo happened she was absolutely inconsolable.I was trying to teach a class but she was in constant tears because of what she knew was going on there, I tried to console her but it did not work - sne was obviously destroyed both mentally and spiritually by what was happening in her home town. I felt terrible because of her agony. This is the reality of these terrible wars.
I said the very same thing when I heard him saying that. I am sure he didn't mean bad when he said that but innocently just uttered it. What great coverage by him! We should be thanked for that.
It may also be the language barrier . He meant it’s a hospital for mentally unwell but probably didn’t understand the literal meaning of the word crazy
La guerre c'est male, war is terrible and again in Ukraine war. Sometimes i agree with statement from matrix movie that we people are like virus destroyed everything natural resorses ourselfs other people but than i see sometime good people i see love sometimes we are capable for good thing but usual i am afraid for bad and evil, this time that you give with you great videos i almost find you like a good friend. Bon courage dans tes prochaines aventures mon ami
Merci mon ami! And well, I guess there is good and bad in everyone of us, it is our nature, and we all manage it differently. Sadly, sometimes our bad side creates disasters. Hopefully we will keep improving, and we will keep on trying to prevent the disasters before they do happen.
Traces of war in Syria... Millions of people are refugees. They have to live away from their own country, family, home and culture. What a desperation war is... Ursula Kroeber Le Guin says in her book "The Dispossessed": "He knew he had won a war, easily, without apparent violence. But violence had been caused."
“ waitin’ 4 a better time” -love ur way u say it. God! Who can understand why this people did this to their own land. No europene did it, no Chinese did it, no…
I am from Aleppo, and I am asking you kindly to don’t assume that the Syrians did all of that. I don’t know if you consider Russia Europe or no. And talking about china ask Google how many times did china use the Vito. Iran, Turkey. Even America is involved somehow..

Yeah, those who suffer from these wars often don't have anything to do with it...
this was a really heavy and hard video to watch. The impacts of war are so terrible... it's unbelievably saddening. thank you for this video, Yves.

Syria before the war was the most beautiful country in the world..
Yeah, it's very sad to see all this destruction, though it will slowly regain its beauty I guess.

I guess when you have no lived this kind of trauma, it's impossible to understand how deeply people can be destroyed by war...
Thanks for your effort and videos.Good to see some sign of normalcy in bazaar

PS: Please don't say it is a hospital for crazy people - it is a hospital for people with emotional and spiritual difficulties. Thanks.

Hi Amazing series Yves. What year was this that you travelled to Syria? As I want to know what the traveling situation is for 2022.
I traveled in January 2022. It's easy to go to Syria now, though via an agency. But it's expensive.
And thank you
Hey man great video but just to correct you, The Souk in Aleppo is/was the biggest in the world, larger than the one in Istanbul.
Thank you for the correction 😊
@@KinoYves no worries 😉 Hope you visit Syria again soon. You’re always welcome there.
thirteen kilometers with small shops on either side run by open minded people who today are second class workers (but alive) elsewhere...

Rula est Syrienne, oui, de Damas, mais elle est mi chrétienne mi sunnite.
Not every muslim woman wears abayas or traditional clothes.
Yeah...west backed "moderate islamists"! Hypocrisy, tragedy, and joke all together!
