How did you make it work with openhd?? Ground 4b+ air 3bmini and no video at all with latest firmwares and olders.Dont know what is wrong connections are ok
@@montreetormee most sellers list those sticks with generic specifications which have clearly come from something else and they state them as being 15dbm, your test shows they are significantly more than that and has made me consider them again as a weight saving compared to a 20dbm stick coupled with an amplifier. do you think all sticks with identical boards to yours will be running similar output power? While I can get 2w from the setup Im building, the lower weight of those is definitely attractive!
Good 1W output power, but the downside is a weak design. I had 4, 3 damaged outputs ~35mw (1w) and preliminary tests. The reception sensitivity was not good, but the ASUS-AC56 performed fully well. , With a power output of 500mw
Hi @Tree Orbit Thailand could you put test of full frequency range of AR9271 from 2312MHz to 2700MHz ? The main advantage of this chipset is the possibility to working outside crowdy wifi band range
It can be done at that frequency, but the quality of the AR9271 is not very good, the 1 watt output power is damaged on its own, all four of me have been damaged
4G signal, I will not use it because there are 2 main problems: 1. Sometimes the signal is lost. 2. Most of the 4G signal if flying above 500 meters or more the signal will be lost

heads up that you have put AR9217 in your title but its a AR9271, it might confuse people searching for the wifi sticks your testing :)
Thank you for the message

@@montreetormee that's a shame, they are twice the power of the Asus sticks and would have 1/4 more range if they were reliable 😞
What model attenuator are you using with your power meter? Do you have a link?

@@montreetormeeYou think it is just crap or these cards are very easy to overheat? What would you recommend settings of OpenHD for output power?
What? AL3A version without "L" on wifi data runs good?
great test
Very good!
Looking at my new rebuild with 4G. Is this your answer to this? also you have a new sub

Do you think this are good cheap cards to buy?
I do not recommend it, it is a fragile card and the reception quality is not as good as it could be.
