It was a bp wipe server and I didn’t have bp + no decent comps or recycler very close by and what was available was farmed already. I figured by the time I farmed what i’d need, I could’ve already been in with spears since I had the hatchet. HOWEVER, machete would’ve been a decent option, but I still didn’t wanna bother farming and recycling for 20 mins, then spending 6 mins using machetes when it only takes 26 mins with spears, anyway. I don’t disagree those are definitely better options in most cases, though!

I play on a lot of different pops and tbh you can eco raid on a lot of different ones. This was on a 200-300 pop server, but it was late at night and pop was about 100 at the time. It’s definitely easier on lower pop, but still doable on mid/higher 😊
Yes, but it’s 125 scrap to research + 20 scrap and 2HQM to craft, which is counterintuitive to the pipe & HQM problem when you’re eco raiding off of spawn beach lol researching and crafting components in general is rarely worth it tbh

Bottom is always soft side.
It is for hard side - top of foundations are soft side, which is true for wooden, too! It took all 59 from the bottom :(
