How I test melee weapons: upgrade to relic (in my case everything is relic by now, but nevermind), go do 3 infernos with it and look how much max damage I can bring. On each class the mimimal threshold differs of course. With fist on assault my max was 22,5k (with a threshold being 17k). Which is not bad. It may be the worst melee weapon, but it still can perform nice. With hammer it was 38k. And I caught myself on a thought that I never played with chainsword on assault, this is a mistake that should be fixed😅
Do you know if damage numbers include overkill? Because like you said, it performs fine. I don’t feel like I’m missing much. Main difficulty, really, is it plays different from the other melee weapons. Once you realize the lunging attack can be chained between dodges, and you play around with it…then it’s kinda game on.
@@Mantelar I don't think so. Game don't have factual damage numbers, so testing this is borderline impossible. But I think that game counts only damage dealt to enemies' HP. So I prefer to have 2 main measures for weapon quality: total damage with it in the end of the mission and it's ability to kill majors. Simple and clear.
It's no wonder really. Hammer hits harder yes but its move set also typically has double the hit limit compared to fist. This is why for sheer simplicity I think if they buffed the fist hit limit by 50% it'll be a lot more popular but still hit less then the hammer.
@ it should oneshot minors that got hit with the actual fist. That would be enough. Now it just scatters everything across the field, and it feels really strange. Honestly with AOE this weapon has it must do 30k damage.
@Sargatas oh it does. Just that the Relic fencing version literally can only hit up to 4 targets with its base heavies. Which why you see so many staggers. Now the ranged minoras just go into execute. Which is fine, those are free armor pick ups.
Power fist can be fun, hope they make the blocking more viable as i hit only two stacks without feeling like im waiting on their attack or Im feeling flooded. Lately i revisited the occulus bolt carbine and was very supprised with its headshot damage as a white weapon in substantial. Jump pack cooldown spam feels super good on tight mob clusters.
Why is the power fist ranked as the worst? Against tyranids is pretty fun, executions and finishers are bad ass. I actually feel that all melee weapons just do the same damage if I’m being honest. I always play on lethal btw. There are some classes which let me solo the run, while others don’t, but thats it. Tactical and assault I feel are the strongest ones.
It's ranked the worst because it is clearly the worst out of the 3 in total, it's attack pattern is shite, it's AOE is shite and it's 1 on 1 damage is not worth in a HORDE shooter game.
I know why the tactical left, I mean if I died twice in 60 seconds I'd be pretty embarrassed too
Love that you guys have an Emperor's Scythe with you against the Tyranids, even if he's a blackshield.
For Sotha!

Dude, I love coming into lethal operations like that, it’s the best! Do your best and SAVE YOUR BROTHERS
Whoa! Heavy Bolter Heavy w/o Bonds of Brotherhood in Lethal? That’s crazy! That brother has a death wish, LOL. 😆
The running lunge to open your attacks with the fist is a must

I think fencing power fist is the better version simply because it swings faster than the rest of its counter parts especially the final tier

I know this is PS5 but what are your specs on your gaming PC ?
Groundslam at 5:06 did NOT get the job done, you can see the absolute shitshow of its ability to be precise on anything other than flat ground.
I always wonder why people drop out but Is suppose it could literally just be their mum or wife asking for the TV haha
