I grew up in the Baptist Church and never knew this song was in the Baptist Hymnal until I was in my late 50s! All those Sundays in church and the song never came up. I find that rather strange. It's such a beautiful song and melody but it's about 7 chord changes over the line for my guitar I think.
I remember learning this from privettricker channel times :) Thanks man. Still going with the videos fter all these years. Still remember requesting Lemon song old intro and swan song in dadgad. You're more than awesome, thanks to you I'm now pretty good at guitar. And your videos are better source of learning than a teacher rambling to you.
The Cat sure had his own thing and it was wonderful .... thanks as always for your perfect vids. This song brings to mind Richie Havens "Here Comes the Sun" .... another classic of that era
This is a great practice song to build an ear, and if you know a pianist it's fun to play together. I counted 108 chord changes. The only major chord not used is a B. I also like Hard Headed Woman for much the same reason.
Rick Wakeman on piano coming up with those cool changes.
I agree that is purdy. Brings back memories of older days.

Lots of chords for sure but easy to follow. Thanks for posting this one.
Damn, this song has always hit me like a hammer. Just beautiful. Wonderful job as usual JJ.
Love the song, Buc's jersey and J200!

Nice cover and beautiful guitar man!!
very purdy... thank you
Enjoyed this video. Great job. FYI: Studio piano was Rick Wakeman from YES.

Nice change of pace lesson, as usual. Do the people you work with know that you're a RUclips star😎
Really neat.I like the modulation and how they get to the new key by subbing in the F# to Bm.Then they do it again to get back to the original key.
Best part of the song.
PIRATES baby!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!

New camera? The resolution of your newer videos is nice.
Been more than a year with the new camera.
I guess it's because I cleaned my monitor. LOL. Hey, I appreciate your vids: your laid-back presence and that you're skilled. Thanks.
