More George: One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer🔥🔥🔥
Long version! LOL
E'rybody funny. Now you funny, too.
Great song to react to! Go for it! Love and respect. ❤️
Live with Elvin Bishop
"I drink alone" is my absolute top favorite from George. It's one of those songs that once you hear it start playing, it is impossible not to move & groove with it. I hope you will check out that one soon.
Hang on Babes. It's gonna be a bumpy ride. 😎
When you watch the video for Bad to the Bone, Bo Diddley was the pool player he went up against
This is my favorite version, too. George's gift is bringing all his own musical heroes to new audience: Bo Diddley, John Lee Hooker, The Sonics, Hank Williams Sr., Fats Domino, Chuck Berry...so many great artists.
"I'm a rhythm fanatic. I create rhythms that'd drive you nuts."
- Bo Diddley
Thanks for posting exactly what needed to be told.🍻
I mean - that's one way of looking at it. I have a much more cynical opinion.
This is my third favorite version. I prefer the original and Quicksilver Messenger Services epic cover with several "variations on a theme". One whole side of an album.
'Move it on over' is another great one!
Now you gotta do his I drink Alone - too good
Bo diddly has two versions. The original being the first and he re recorded it for the movie la bamba in the 80s
My favourite song by them is Madison Blues. Such a fun, upbeat song. You will love it! You will be doing your chair dancing 😂
You will love Move It On Over.
One Bourbon One Scotch and one beer 🍺
I saw George Thorogood in the Rolling Stones concert at Candlestick Park. In my opinion, his set was the best part of the night. Love him. And HE respected his audience, too. He didn't leave us waiting for an hour for him to come on stage, like the Stones, and he really gave it his all.
saw that one too 81-82? wth J Giles Band
@thorzzz1z yes! And they were great, too! So funny, they searched us on the way in, but they didn't find the booze, joints, or pistol I had with me
I still think George's version is the best. You saw Bo Diddley in the Bad To The Bone video. He was the one playing George in the pool room. He had the square/rectangle guitar also. Gotta react to "I Drink Alone" next and play the official video. Pretty comical.
GLad you have great associations with this. Mine are dancing like crazy to him playing this live then playing it on the juke box in the local & on the car stereo and partying in the local field where the kids gathered. We were motor heads and this song sounded perfect with rumbling engines.
George borrowed all of his licks straight from the blues! Houndog Taylor and the House rockers is where George was an apprentice to music
George knew how to stir up a crowd with these crowd-pleaser songs, too.
I Drink Along
Move It On Over
House Rent/Blues & One Burbon, One Scotch, One Beer (it's a combo song). I think there's a sick ass LIVE performance from him.
It's so cool to come to this channel and see someone discover music I've heard my whole life AND learn something new about it.
Great vid 😘💕
thing to remember is that all thorogood's good songs are covers of classic blues artists. his originals are good, but nothing you'll still be hearing outside a thorogood show.
Bo Diddley was the old man playing pool with George in the Bad to the bone vodeo.
Great reaction! You look a whole lot like me seeing him in the bar The Keystone in Berkeley in '74. Only a few hundred there, think we paid $1.00 cover.
This song was also in the movie, Two moon junction.
Great reaction!!! Way to get into it 😉
His performance at Live Aid with Albert Collin’s is worth checking out too
But it's not George's song. It's Bo Didley. George did a lot of covers, but he played them with such conviction that he made them all his own.
That Bo Diddly beat is the best!
"DOWN THE ALLEY A CADILLAC FLEW,HIT A BUMP AND SOMEBODY SCREAMED ,YOU SHOULDA HEARD JUST WHAT IVE SEEN.
" I drink alone" is My favorite ❤ Or Bad to the bone
This has to be an old blues song . Great performer, does guitar duck walk across stage .
I got a tombstone hand and a graveyard mind. I'm just 22 and I don't mind dying.
This is a cover of the original by Bo Diddley , so George is probably not making as much money as you think.
Lonesome George and a little Bourbon will make a man feel a certain way.
The Doors Live version.
I think a great George song to react to would be One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer.
My late husband turned me onto George when we were dating and I went nuts! Im an old lady now, but still a BIG fan! Yow!
" the Bo Diddley beat"
He's currently touring, possibly his last, if you want to see him. You'll be glad you did. Look it up.
i believe this is a Bo Diddley cover.
Check out Bo Diddley doing this song in 1956.
You should check out the earlier version by Quicksilver Messenger Service from the album Happy Trails it’s fire too I think it’s a Bo Diddly song
The thing that stands out ehen I saw George back in the day was what a drunk fest it was! During this song a drunk girl was going over the railing from the upper level but her boyfriend caught her by the back of the jeans. Good thing most people wore belts at the time! It was a great show though!
If you want to check out more of his guitar skills ......Gear Jammer.
George Thorogood - "You Talk Too Much"
🤘😎
hey man, great reaction. When you start the video can you give us tick of silence before you start talking? For me, the first second of you talking always plays before the audio kicks in. George did a ton of covers, one of my favorites is Move it on Over which I think is a Hank Williams cover
Ronnie Hawkins is from my neck of the woods!😊 his version won’t disappoint you.
Bo Diddley original.....now jam with a Bo Diddley track called " Cadillac" ✌️
Its that Bo Diddly beat....
It's not his song, but he made it his.
The Doors version is good also.
I like George's version better than Bo Diddly's, lol
Love George but for me the definitive WDYL will always be Quicksilver followed closely by a version by the Doors
Bo Didley song
Quicksilver !!
This is the style of music ... wait! back the bus up ... This is just one style of music that is ALWAYS cranked in my car anytime any where I go. Without tunes, driving is boring.
