Yes installing injector nozzles are really worth it , especially large nozzles , being able to inject the fuel into the cylinder extremely quick and not have to hang the injector open for so long means you can decrease the timing and cut heat and cylinder pressure down .
You are my go to duramax channel for sure !! But please just remember not all of us can afford to have s&s do our injectors. We are talking about alot of money for them to do that ! Now I have no doubt that having them do it is WAY better, but I wish you would do a video on rebuilding the injectors with over size nozzle the cheapest way you can at home and not use a sponsor's product. Do it, or attempt to do it like the average Joe DIY Mechanic who is trying to raise kids ( and not let the wife find out how much i spend on my truck😳 ) would be able to do it at his home on a realistic budget. Anyway just an idea. Not putting down your video at all.... it, like all your videos, was great and full of useful and honest information. Thanks buddy !! Hope you and your family are doing well....
So I found out yesterday that I have 2 bad injectors, so I will be looking into s&s and bitterroot to see about about getting my injectors rebuilt, oversized probably 30 overs and have them balanced. Thanks for your vids, keep em up.
Wish I would have known about s&s I bought Bosch remans from Dmax store a year ago and installed myself on my LB7 I know how much work this is. The Dmax store injectors have been great so far but it's not my daily. Just use it for taking the truck camper out with the fam and fire wood and such. My hazin stopped after the swap so I'm still happy.
Hey Josh, hope you and the family are well. Are you still happy with the SAC style injectors? I think I have 1 going again and have been looking at these. Yes, I have read it’s best to replace all 8 since there might be compatibility issues VCO vs SAC. I am going to stay stock, so SAC00. Thanks
Loving your videos brother. Picked up my first lb7 a couple weeks ago, and ironically I had grabbed some SAC Injectors and new sleeves. So,this video was great for me haha
Josh I have an 03 lb7 and I have blown a head gasket and my injectors were supposed to have been changed by previous owner and they just dont look like it they are full of gunk and rust i dont exactly have the funding at the moment to by new injectors what would you recommend I do? Should I just bit the bullet and replace the ones that are really bad or should I just send them in have them refurbished?
6 percent doesn’t sound like much til it’s 100 over. I’d be really interested to see a set of new/oem injectors (probably impossible to find now) on the flow bench, I’ll bet there were worse than that right off the lot from the dealer 19 years ago haha
Thank u truck master for all the info.i have a lb7 my self I just got it a couple months ago. So how can I find out if they where changed out before???
look at the bolts that hold the valave covers on and look for gasket sealer coming out of the top cover, thats the first sign. If you warm up the truck and let it idle, look at the exhaust and look for a little smokey haze coming out, if you have it, you have leaky injectors and need to get them fixed before they stick wide open and fill the crank case full of diesel. Also, check to see if your truck is "making oil" check to see if the oil level is climbing on the dipstick daily. If it is, you need new injectors.
@Truck Master , you need to take her Bow Tie out sand it down and Flat Black or Purple Metallic paint it. Noticed its got the classic crack and seperating going on.
Hey can you do a video on what’s good to put on a 2018 Duramax that’s in California because I can’t get parts from hsp in California thanks love the wife Max
Come on man I’m in Florida I’ll just take my lml across the gulf to Mexico 🇲🇽 leave my lml 3500 dually with you and just do it up lml already deleted fass w sump and cp3 conversion. I’ll pay take it to your boys do the transmission and all the bells and shinny shit! Haha last try but it’ll be great content!
Sorry, I don’t speak injector and unless they explain what they’re talking about this info is not very helpful to me. I am having injector issues right now in my 2015 LML.
@@SSfueled well u made it sound as though if u put more time into them they would b in better spec. U said it not me. And if I'm spending 1366 I'd like to know u got them as close as u could without time being a factor
Why does the DDA wanna play AGD F and everything go diesel truck and make the owners of the diesel pickups a 5 to $10000 of exit how to give a crack about a through what on turtles
Awesome commercial, I could have just went to S&S sight for that propaganda. Whats the difference between this video and the ones you do for Ryans's Diesel and Kodiak??? Those guys show their work. All this talk of "within spec, calibration, and adjusting flow" ??? Have you seen an LB7 injector? There are no dials or bells and whistles. There are nozzles and seats, pucks, springs and o-rings unless you go into the electronics. This vid wasn't for your viewers, it was a commercial for one of the 3 major companies that hones nozzles..... shame on you, sell out.
They have the fancy tools that other companies don’t have to dial this stuff in! You obviously didn’t watch the entire video. Side note I received $0 for making this video. I’m simply trying to educate the truck community to help others. Start your own channel 👍

Dirtymax parts prices need to become more affordable especially on the trucks that are 20 years old.

Awesome brother thanks 👍
Hell yeah brother. This was an amazing video. So you said it cost 1200 was that just for nozzles or nozzles and for them to install and calibrate?
tm what lift pump would u use on lly fass or air dog
@@GMCJay_lly thanks, i did do the air dog and love it
Lol at the ending, stay tune. Looks like its tune

Iv been wondering about this, very informative! Would I need to get my tunes updated?
Adding more fuel it would need tuned.
@@that11gmc alright, I figured so. Thanks for the reply
Will this prolong the life of the injectors?

What does the "100" represent when you say 100 over injectors?
Holes on the nozzles are 100% larger than stock
@@ericsmith1086 thank you sir
Great peace of info !! I was always wondering on this hole thing , I’ve give them a call . Thanks again. 😉✌️
Oh baby
No it’s not worth it unless you enjoy wasting money, rolling coal & or being sheepish.Facts.
