A big thank you for your video! Just a couple of pro tips: You will need a 3/8 torque wrench that pivots (Harbor Frieght ICON) and at least one extended 8mm hex head socket cut to size to get all the hex head bolts properly torqued to "42" POUND FEET not 50. You are bolting into aluminum heads, so be careful.
    Remove your front tires.
I read another comment about jacking up the engine and trans... That's a great idea. The frame rails are so close to the manifolds that it makes it hard to get to get to the bottom bolts.

I got the exact same kit. I got one side all out just need to remove the driver side. I’m glad I also went with the Ppe down pipe. Maybe a little trick for anyone tackling this not so fun job is to remove the two trans crossmember bolts an put something to distribute the load over a jack under the trans pan and jack it up until the top just touches the floor and get yourself an extra 1-3 inches back there. Makes a big difference IMO as any guy or girl knows a little extra in the right spot means a world of difference! 😉 Happy New Years from KS 👍🏽

I’ve been getting into watching a bunch of informational videos about Duramax & Powerstrokes. I like yours the most because you’re just aDuramax guy. One of my best friends is a classic Chevy guy. I remember the first Duramax & Allison I drove 20 years ago. Super impressed then & they’ve only gotten better across the & board & technology is skyrocketing. You’re the most down to earth, diesel guy I’ve found. And honestly nobody else has a Wifemax & her truck is cool too. Tomorrow morning I’m getting the muffler & flapper valve deleted on my LTZ Silverado. I have a Mustang too but the Silverado is way nicer to drive everyday. Keep up the good work

I always thought to myself I wonder how much more power these trucks could make just by flowing better. Glad to see they actually work. I was wanting to install the same parts but could not find your part number. I have an 06 GMC with the LBZ. I have 4” exhaust a single stage tune, the pcv delete and egr delete. It has 370000 miles on it. My bellows cracked on my up pipe. So I wanted to put the same thing you installed on mine, I do have a new 3” down pipe to install at the same time. Now that summer is over. I notice better gas milage since my egt temp stays way low. Think ima have to pull the trigger and do a full manifold back system. Probly grab a turbo while im at it. Ppe manifold kit are cali legal right?

Man if I tried ripping my manifold bolts out like that I’d be into drilling my studs out. Rust belt stuff sucks.

Great video, I got my Rds turbo, high flow piping, and ppe manifolds and up pipes installed all in one go on my lap. huge improvement over stock, might just have to take advantage of the discount code for the LBZ

Why didn't you use a 3/8 drive torque wrench. They're shorter in size

I'm stuck on the bottom 13mm on the driver side up pipe at the bottom of the Turbo pedestal. I've got everyother bolt loose. Now I could only get a 1/4 drive to fit, Broke 2 1/4 drive ratchets and a 1/4 drive breaker bar. PB blaster for a week now, don't want to break this bolt like one of your other videos, I'm about to try and heat the up pipe around the bolt with a torch, any other suggestions? I'm doing the Profab headers and up pipes, and the high flow y bridge kit from wcfab, cp3 10 mm stroker, fass 165 for this part of the build.

Hey Josh what happened to the 3 inch mbrp downpipe you installed years ago. I noticed when you pulled the manifold off of the passenger side. The downpipe you pulled off is stock?

Love the videos man! what's the likely hood of snapping one of the bolts off in the turbo? Also just have to say literally anything is better than wd. its not actually penetrant. Free all is the bomb.
