- Hey guys!
I finally got down to the layout after quite a while so I decided to make a switching video.
Today we have WSOR GP7u 702 on the lead and BN GP20 2002 filling in for WSOR GP7u 701 which is temporarily out of service (It shorted out and I'm pretty sure the Tsunami 2 decoder in it is fried...have to love the hobby...)
Anyway, I hope you enjoy it!

As a Brit who models American Railroads this is a great tutorial to learn from plus the outstanding modelling and details. You've put a great deal if effort into producing this video so well done you.
Thank you! I’m not a railroader so I wouldn’t use my work as an example of real operations, but I’m glad you enjoyed!
Why do you move so slowwwww pick it up
@@JohnMakuck-is7behe’s going normal speeds for yard operations, calm down
Beautiful layout and very nice shortline switching going on 👍 Enjoyed watching it!
We got some track issues or wheel gauge issues we got some hopn on the tracks, ect, either that switchman had just some hurrying up to do to let the next train pass or he has the bathroom QUICK😳🤯😵!! 😂. Love your weathered cars, and your painted background scenery all the green lush, vegetational and them are, and them tall pine trees jus
You ran that poor conductors guts out. He's gonna sleep good tonight
WOW! Somebody who know how to run consists proper ( NOT USING IT LIKE A SLOT CAR TRACK) great video guys looking for more from you guys thanks
Great layout with lots of scenery. I enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing.
The zip tie powered cars were an awesome addition to this great model railroad video! 😄
Thank you! Thought I’d add a little fun twist 😂
Excellent demonstration in modeling, video production, train operation. thank you for posting...
Thank you!
@@TheTrainFan you're welcome! 4:30 a.m. here in Arizona I'm going to bed for 3 or 4 hours then getting up and going to the chiropractor LOL
You worked that guy pretty hard , I hope you a a diner that can feed him good !
Very Nice Job I love the use of the Conductor :)
Thanks! Thought I’d try something different
Great weathering on the freight cars.
Thank you! I have videos on my channel demonstrating how to do some of them
Very entertaining!
Your layout , rolling stock and motive power look fantastic! Nice switching ops video too!
Thank you sir! Unfortunately, I can only take credit for the locomotives and rolling stock, the layout is a club layout. Thanks again for the kind words!
@@TheTrainFan It was a trifecta of model railroading. I look forward to additional videos.

Fabulous weathering! Subbed...
Thank you! I have weathering videos on my channel, feel free to check them out!
thank you great detail operation on your layout
This is a club layout but thank you for the kind words!
Really nice! The weathering and detail on the rolling stock is very nice. On the first coupling, the impact sound, was that an audio edit or can dcc do that? Sounds great either way! Thanks for making the video! And one more thing, do you think the club would let you weather the yellow crane in the scrap yard? ;)
Thank you! I added the coupler effects afterwards in editing but DCC can do its own coupling effects. I appreciate the kind comment!
I just found your Channel and I am impressed with your videos and talents....
I would like to learn from you as I am doing a N scale switching layout.

Thank you Bob, don’t be afraid to ask if you have any questions!
@@TheTrainFan Thank you for your friendship and talents 😊👍
Very nice!
Excellent thank you.
I was quite relieved to see that nobody got run over at the crossings.
Not this time!
Where do you find your rolling stock? (Specifically the high top boxcars)
I found those on HO Scale Yard Sale, a Facebook page dedicated to selling HO scale items
Wsor 702 is still in service to this day wsor still uses it
Yessir!
What are the dimensions of your layout?
This is a club layout but it’s about 25x12 feet I would say. Give or take a couple feet
Thank you. You are so lucky to have an amazing layout to play on.
Yes I’m lucky to have these guys! Maybe you could find a club near you, they’re everywhere!
I’m looking for one currently, to keep me busy till I build my own layout. Going for a BNSF branch line.

:)
Very nice looking layout, I love the weathering, why does the train move so slow? When I was a kid my trains would go much faster, I guess they don't build them as good these days. thanks for sharing
Thank you! The train is moving slow because I try to run them at prototypical speed for their size. Nowadays the motors inside are so fine that they can run very slowly pretty easily. You also need to have clean wheels and tracks. These are also DCC locomotives but that’s a whole other conversation
But-- no real RR switches at 1 m.p.h.
