Analytical thinking is overrated, when it isn't combined with good empirical intuition. Making decision based on certain states, is simply robotic mastery, and the Western equivalent of Sensei board-breaking. A true creative state can only be achieved when analysis is combined with novel associations of information, which can only be mediated by intuition.
