I've had a set from Temu for about three months. They have been fine, and last all night. They are fiddly to get looking the way you want, but creative types can do some neat things with them.
I actually have four of these lights, my brother bought them from Temu a few months ago and they've held up shockingly well. Even some heavy rainstorms here in FL weren't enough to take them out.
Same here. I'm in Florida and I just replaced my Amazon ones with Temu. The Amazon ones didn't last two days. Not at all what I expected. I just bought blinking string lights from Temu also. I haven't put them up yet.
I see this as being more useful as accents to bigger Christmas displays than I do as "fireworks" lights. They look GOOFY in the day, but at night the Temu didn't look bad at all.
Huh, I got what seems to be that first set of lights a while back. They survived a pretty intense hailstorm here in Colorado, my car's a golfball now but the lights still work. All the little wires got bent down, but it only took a min to fluff them back up. They are not bright enough to light up the ground around them, but they're great for marking the edges of my driveway which is what I got them for. Cheap and works for 4+ months in some pretty extreme weather. Okay checked for sure, I got the "JJGoo Solar Garden Lights Solar Firework Lights, 2 Pack 120 LEDs 2 Lighting Modes Solar Lights Outdoor Waterproof for Garden Patio Walkway Pathway Party Wedding Decorative - Cool White" stupid SEO optimizing name, but $15 and they just work. I got the all white ones.
The wires feel fragile, but they hold up pretty well. I had some similar ones that were battery powered, and they were outside for two years before I gave them away. The person I gave them to said they're still working, going on three years now. The solar panel face will start to fade from the sun, but a UV-resistant clear coat paint (eg, Krylon) will renew it.
I have 2 of these. I love them. Even after a year they still stay lit well into the late hours. You do have to re adjust them from time to time due to weather.
All of mine are from Temu. Still working 1 year later. Went through freezing rains and snow. Just bought a few more to add to my collection. My favorite solar lights I've e er bought and they have lasted the longest.
So far, so good with Temu. While shipping isn't quick, everything has worked. The main thing people need to pay attention to is the *SIZE* of what they order. Odds are its gonna be smaller than what you pictured.
@@laurahubbard6906 I agree, but if my only choices for a specific product are all made in China, then I'm going to buy the least expensive Chinese-made product.
Awesome review as always James. I am kind of new to Temu, I have gotten 3 orders from them so far and only 1 item I got was junk, a drink holder for motorcycle handlebars. The rest of it, I am very impressed with, and unlike Wish and a couple others, the shipping really isn't too bad at all, 10ish days or so, Vs Wish a month to 6 weeks sometimes and you never know what you might get from Wish. 👋🤠
In my limited experience, Temu is generally a step up in quality and the shipping times exponentially faster. Still mass produced product probably made overseas though.
Those things would never hold up to the wind I get daily whipping around my house. First week we moved in the wind ripped a 20 x 40 section of roof off our house... it's no joke. Sadly these kinds of things are no go's for me. But the best solar lights we've ever had were color changing ball lights from Home Depot 6 years ago, only 2 have just with time gone out. Human snafus have taken a couple out. They don't make them like that anymore. 3 of them were on flag mounts on out porch, even partially shades those babies did their job and I still have one up there, giving its colorful love almost all night long.
I understand liking solar lights. They usually last a few years, you get light outside that you don't have to turn any switches on for, and it's not on your electric bill.
I have several of the 240 led ones from temu and the only complaint my wife has had has to do with the "modes". The mode after you set them stay for several days/weeks then they suddenly will change to a new mode but it is only 1 or 2 of the 8 we have in the yard. We have no kids and no one can mess with them in the backyard.
Project: the Temu lights could be used to make the Disneyland firefly effect, if they were set on the white flashing pattern, but you would have to take it apart and mount the strands to something and have a motor that would make then move around. your welcome 😀
At first I thought he had incredible 3D still footage of fireworks that he was moving through at the beginning of this video. I definitely need to get my eyes checked or need to cut back on something! 😂🎉❤
But you do understand that these are probably from the same factory and just sold on Amazon and Temu? BBuying from China doesn't mean knock-off, buying from Amazon nowadays mostly means purchasing products from China and often from chinese sellers shipping via Amazon FBA.
If my house wasn't facing a communial gravel driveway, which are taken over by cars, I'd get these to have something to remember the 4th of July by. The trees obscure the actual fireworks show.
I paid $1.99 for 240 warm on temu, u gotta shape them better and they are very cool, but I can't figure out to get them to work dusk to dawn and have to manually turn them off and on. Any one know how??
I saw you mention this on Threads and I got excited. I was considering these. Very fun. I wish there was an alternate power source, though. I'd like to put one in a dark corner of the room for fun. Thanks for the review.
Those of you taking the high road, I dont believe for one nano second that none of you own anything that either came from China or contain parts that have come out of China.
Temu looking way better because it looks like stars or fireworks, Amazon got lines of light going to everything. My eyes have a hard time looking at condensed led-lights and the Amazon version would drive me mad.
When the magic shrooms start becoming more legal! These products will take off! Both can grab attention in real life! Especially in the wind(as was mentioned)! 😅
The Temu ones put Amazon to shame...that said, if you didn't see the Temu ones I'm pretty sure most people would be happy with the Amazon ones... unfortunately we've now seen the Temu ones 😁
I think both have their plus and minuses. The amazon are shorter and thus easier to hold their shape and since they are shorter that means the lights are closer together which makes them appear brighter. The temu is longer which makes them fill up a space better and they appear more billowy. I think buying a combo of both looks more accurate of a firework display as you have some booms with a wide coverage and others that are smaller with a concentrated look. All are likely made in the exact same warehouse in china lol so all will likely last about the same amount of time. I'll wait for your updated yearly review to see how they held up
I only recently heard about TEMU and have made a personal decision that I will never purchase a single thing from them - even though I do understand that so many of our products already come from China!
I’ve had the Amazon set a little over three years now and overall they’re still lasting pretty well and I get compliments all the time. That being said, I have lost one of the four due to those skinny legs just breaking in half.
In the end, all the sellers bought them from Alibaba.
😂😂
Yea but they buy bulk, I ain’t bouta buy $100 in cheap plastic lights😂😭
But yea, the only difference is shipping tbh (between Amazon and temu)

I like the Temu ones better the longer strands look more like fireworks. These also remind me of fiber optic lamps.
I have 2 of these. I love them. Even after a year they still stay lit well into the late hours. You do have to re adjust them from time to time due to weather.
bailey is photobombing you! I've never seen these lights, pretty neat. Thanks for trying them.

Temu is a Chinese B x O x M x B !
I've had my Temu lights for about 4 months now and they are still going strong and I love them. I purchased 4 and I'm thinking about buying some more.
Bailey is like: hey if you want to look at something that will light your world then just look at me because im fabulous hahaha

James' garden of light! Nice!
Happy Saturday 🎉
You always do such a great job informing everyone about what works and what doesn’t!thank you James❤️
Boycott Temu

Doing more Temu vs Amazon videos would be cool
All of mine are from Temu. Still working 1 year later. Went through freezing rains and snow. Just bought a few more to add to my collection. My favorite solar lights I've e er bought and they have lasted the longest.
Thank you for making this. I didn't realize how "small" the lights were until I saw them next to your hands!
Too funny, RUclips placed a Temu ad at the beginning of your video. It was for something else, but still...😂
So far, so good with Temu. While shipping isn't quick, everything has worked. The main thing people need to pay attention to is the *SIZE* of what they order. Odds are its gonna be smaller than what you pictured.
Yes! I got a humidifier with only about a cup of water to fill it, way too small!
And the profits going to China.
Also, since they don't use boxes, I suggest never to order anything fragile from them.
@@laurahubbard6906 I agree, but if my only choices for a specific product are all made in China, then I'm going to buy the least expensive Chinese-made product.
My biggest concern would be things like clothing or kitchen items, their safety in regards to chemicals.

Aww Bailey. 100% pure bred good girl.
I'm glad everyone enjoys these but I think they would look ridiculous in my yard lol
I like Bailey checking things out. She was probably expecting something edible.
The Temu lights I got lasted about a month. They broke at the base.
Not surprising.
Also be careful ordering any clothing or food products.
Dude... I was just on temu for the first time when this popped up!😂 didn't even get pass the coupon offer before this notice came.
Thanks James, I actually prefer Temu ones for appearance, we appreciate you! 😊
I was just looking for some last night! Thank you!
I have the clear white ones from Temu and I love them. In fact I have a lot of decorations for outside from Temu and everything works great.
On this topic, what are the main differences between Temu and Wish?
In my limited experience, Temu is generally a step up in quality and the shipping times exponentially faster. Still mass produced product probably made overseas though.

I'd lie to see how these look in a snowy yard in the winter. They wouldn't last long, but they'd probably look very pretty.
The real test is the high winds in LV. They do look cool though ! 😃
This is something my Mom would buy. She loves solder powered things that light up in her yard for some reason.
Solder powered? That's a new one.
I understand liking solar lights. They usually last a few years, you get light outside that you don't have to turn any switches on for, and it's not on your electric bill.
Love them. Have wanted to buy as they are soo pretty
THANK YOU!!! I LIKE THE TEMU....
These are probably made in the same factory or the parts are sourced from the same supplier

I just want to mention that temu, Shein, wish, etc… all support the ccp. I’m not judging, it’s up to you what you choose.
Thanks for the video and the review.
Lights are nice but love your dog !!
TEMU LEMU!!! cool outside night lights, I like the Amazon version the best, due to blue/green color adjustment variations.
Sounds like a Seahawk fan to me❤
@@phranerphamily I Love their helmets!
rotating head would’ve made the product so much better
I have something very similar in my garden and like them. Always watch your reviews, but don't usually buy.
Thank you so very much. I love your reviews. I have to many trees so this probably won't be good at my house.
I bought 1 from Temu. Wondering if I should get 3 more
If my house wasn't facing a communial gravel driveway, which are taken over by cars, I'd get these to have something to remember the 4th of July by. The trees obscure the actual fireworks show.
These were all pretty, but I think I actually like the Temu better.
Never even heard of these, so I doubt I'll be buying them but they are cool!
Just ordered some they should arrive in a few days
Can you post a clip in the one year update of them blowing in the wind? I bet you’re right and it will look cool.
Nice review
These these were popular in the early 2000s mine had a stand
They look fun.
Daddy's being silly again, isn't he, Bailey?
Temu for the WIN.
I refuse to ever use temu its a predatory company
You should try all the different outdoor lights from Govee. I want to know what’s better. Individual permanent lights or the light strips.
I paid $1.99 for 240 warm on temu, u gotta shape them better and they are very cool, but I can't figure out to get them to work dusk to dawn and have to manually turn them off and on. Any one know how??
The Temu app has been caught stealing data from your phones. It's a huge security and privacy risk, and not worth saving a couple bucks.
yes for x-mas all usb lights temu this year
We all know Bailey is the star, that's why he keeps getting on camera! :)
He's an old dog but I still want to adopt him
Bailey is a female dog.
@dongshengdi773 Bailey is a girl and she's 8 human years old.
So would people recommend temu for cheap stuff?
I wonder what Bailey's freakin' review would be of her owner. 😂 Nothing but five stars I'm sure! ❤
So how much light do these provide, or are they strictly ornamental?
Yep , they're not designed for providing light so you can see where you are going.
@@josephbennett3482 So they're just decorations? I can see using them for Xmas lights, maybe.
@@ferociousgumby yep , you could use them for that and they'd probably be perfect for that too if you would set up a yard display.
Why are you living in a hot gravel cinder block compound hell hole?
I really like the Temu ones better!

While they look pretty cool at night, they look god awful during the day.
OOOOOOOOO

They definitely look like some bioluminescent creatures for the deep sea.
When the magic shrooms start becoming more legal! These products will take off! Both can grab attention in real life! Especially in the wind(as was mentioned)! 😅

I'm not ordering anything from Temu. You get haunted and who knows what they know about you?
Probably as much as your own government!!
The amazon one looked better but both of them only really looked good on the first setting
hello😁😊
Vegas soil sucks I put my solar lights in pots with potting soil.
If you can't get anything into the ground you could try drenching the ground with water to soften then put the spike in.
I can totally imagine annoying girl bringing these to a concert. Lol. And shes definitely gonna bring the extension rod too.
I want this why?
Cool🎆🎇
Not buying from temu to many people getting fraudulent errors from them.
Those things are really pathetic, Bailey was the saving grace of the video.
👍
