Tip for anyone following this. Rob is showing you what you should do, putting a limiter on the master early in the mix. you should definitely do this at the beginning of your creation process, to prevent accidental overs from damaging your speakers and your hearing
Coming from 0 knowledge on how to use logic or what goes into making any EDM, this definitely helped me feel less overwhelmed by the sheer amount of things you can do. It would be nice for future videos of you were able to touch very briefly on the plug-in's you used, why you chose it, and what it can do. Especially for supper noobs like myself. Again just a super brief tid bit. Awesome video. Thank you.
I am using Logic Pro X. Everything is software based. It’s all done within the computer or “In the box”. I would recommend starting out with maybe an iMac and Logic X. I would then recommend buying a good sample library by Dave Parkinson or Sunny Lax or another established trance producer. There are also some free sample libraries available too. Buying a sample library will supply you with the necessary single shot drum hits and loops.
@@pietrobarbera2898 download this Vengeance Sound Trilogy Trance 2 soundbank, preset 41 Silversound is very similar, just turn off the delay and reverb. there are also classic sounds from big tracks from over the years in this soundbank too www.mediafire.com/file/cxspldpiymp1bbb/Vengeance_Trilogy_Vol_2_Trance.fxb/file
jerry You have to run the installer for “Audio Units”. Then follow the steps for authorization. It involves having an authorization key sitting on your desktop. It should be no problem.
This is episode one and I’m pretty much at the idea stage. I later did away with the detuned baseline, except for in the intro and the Outro. The fact that you mentioned this means that you have a good ear for songwriting.👍
@@SomeCollege nice one, I'm watching the next episode now and it sounds awesome, a lot clearer without the detuning. This bit just jumped out to my ear and I wondered if it was intentional or perhaps a DAW glitch. But it's cool how you experimented with it. Nice set of videos!
Just want to say thanks for taking the time for doing this. I really like your work flow, BTW, I always use a limiter on my Master.

What program are you using on your computer? I love listening to trance but do not have any tools to use. So, I am starting from scratch.
Logic Pro x
