  • This short excerpt from our Magellan-Elcano world circumnavigation video discusses a commonly observed natural phenomenon called St. Elmo’s Fire, that has been recorded by sailors since ancient times. It relates to the build up of an electrical charge around the tops of masts during storms, in which a bluish purple glow - called a coronal discharge is emitted from the object, much as popular plasma balls do today.     Holy body in latin is also the other name for St Elmo, Helen, etc, etc's Fire; corposant.

      "Longer videos" ... it says excerpt for a reason, just look at the videos uploaded, he has longer ones from which these clips are taken

      This is why I don't believe their stories --- find a single bit of evidence that this happens in modern times with more electrically conducive metal masts. Seems like someone would've caught it on video by now

      maybe the more conductive ones shed electrons along the whole lenght@@stnaes-tf4ow
