Most things will become clear by the end. Also, keep in mind that there are over 100 vaults but we’ve only seen a few so far, so there’s room far all manner of shenanigans in future seasons.
Yea I love the idea that we only know about the vaults we've seen or been directly informed of. There's an untold number left out there doing crazy experiments we haven't even thought of
No sand worms in Fallout but there ARE pony-sized scorpions that we'll likely see in season 2
Currently on a new playthrough of 4 and those damn things scare the crap out of me!
There is bloodworms in fallout4 nuka world close enough lol still creepy and wormy
Other than the cowboys broidery, have there been any real references suggesting this?
I'm expecting Death Claws and Super Mutants/Nightkin based on references, but...
I just want to see a synth 😔
Not that i know of. I just expect to see at least one of the beggers as we follow Lucy and coop to vegas @gottagowork
The intro scene is a homage to the good bad and the ugly scene with bads introduction
And the father was played by 80s heartthrob Erik Estrada!! 😯
@@rodentnolastname6612 I knew I recognised him. Never saw Chips (I'm Australian) but I recognised his face from Scrubs of all shows 😆
Nobody has noticed the guy who loses his sons is fucking Icon Erik Estrada. One of the most famous actors of the 80s and 90s. He was the main cop in “C.H.I.P.S”
"One of the most famous" and yet no one recognizes him..
One of my most favorite TV shows when I was, umm, an older teenager.
He was big in the 90s and early 2000s. It's not a surprise aot of people dont recognize him much nowadays. I honestly didn't until i saw his name in the credits, and i loved C.H.i.P.S
Ponch!
The Ghoul is just protecting himself. Not saying its right or wrong, not going to be judgemental on a situation I've never been in, but this is a brutal dog eat dog world after all. He probably saw the signs that the younger brother wasn't going to let it go, so the Ghoul pressed him and offered him a way out. The boy didn't let it go and foolish went for the gun. The next episode, epic.
See? Nerds like me see the Red Rocket and junp from the couch, because a Red Rocket gas station is basically your first world location when you leave your vault in Fallout 4
AND... AND... where you find your first companion, DogMeat, the german shepard dog who becomes your first loyal companion in the game.
Am I the only one who really loves those fiddle tunes? I would often listen to Minutemen Radio while wandering the Commonwealth in Fallout 4, just for the tunes . . . even at risk of hearing yet another announcement about yet another settlement that needed "our" help.
I like all the music, but there isn't enough of it, to keep it playing the whole time, imo. Too much repeat.
@@Tijuanabill There are mods that allow you to expand the playlist

There was always unconfirmed rumors of in-game lore that suggested that vault tec either started bombing or did something to lead to nuclear war starting
The game lore always pointed to that being the case, it just never says how exactly they did it.
It was likely that Vaultec detonated only a few nukes themselves which triggered the global nuke exchange to naturally wipe out the rest
Play Fallout 2. Its revealed and explained who dropped the bombs first and why. In the games, Vault Tec was always believed to have started the war , but it was never confirmed or expanded on. They were always rumors from soldiers, civilians, and Vault Tec employees in terminal entries.
@@sugarbomb1346 yea exactly this but vaultec triggered it they didn't have that many nukes
Sandra's dad is Erik Estrada, from "CHIPS".
They’re too young to know that.
Poncharelli?
@@infiad1275 Guys, please. Ponch. We are all friends here.
I did a double take on first watch! So many cool cameos!
I hate that no reactors have said thi. Im only 37 and I know Estrada is an icon of the 80s and 90s.
There are no vault experiments in Bae Sing Sae
It was cute the way that Lucy blushed when Maximus agreed to come live her in her vault. They're both very innocent in different ways. Cute couple.
the opening scene of this episode, with Erik Estrada (from CHiPs), is very similar to that of the villain's introduction in the 1966 film "the good, the bad and the ugly".
I love you're reviews. I was raised in Ohio and you guys have that certain humor that I just love. Thanks for all you're videos!
In case it hasn't been pointed out yet, this video isn't in the Fallout playlist. It almost put me off of finishing out your reactions because I thought this one had been removed for (insert Reactor strife here such as copyright). But I am glad I noticed this in the 'recommend to watch next' list. Been enjoying it all s far :)
The weird doctor did say he could regrow a foot in episode 2
You guys are freaking hilarious! Binged your fallout reactions back to back... keep up the great work!
I like this show, because (besides maybe lucy) it's hard to know who the "good guys" are. It's not black and white, just shades of grey.
Awesome timing!
Just finished the last episode.
Good Evening from Australia.
Lmao the computer screen you guys made confused grunts to is the hacking mini game in fallout to break a password on an in game terminal.
You get a bunchvif random symbols with words placed randomly. One of the words is the correct password. You click a word and the system shows you how many correct letters are in the correct spot. So you'll pick FRANK and the system will say 3 correct. You then click THANK and you get access. There are also container symbols like brackets and parenthesis that can be clicked to reset tries or remove dead words
Good description. 👍
Excellent question, why not merge Vaults 32 and 33 since they are all from the same vault? Safety. The reason for the vaults is to protect them from outside radiation--and raiders. If they are merged then one breach would endanger both. The separation limits the danger from one breach. Also, each vault is supposed to hold about 200 "families" so by splitting the population, there's less stress on each vault and more room to grow and live.
For example, one benefit is that in a society that's limited to a 200-family vault, repopulation has to be limited. Not everyone can be allowed to have kids. Splitting up between vaults means there's more room for more people to have kids if they want to. Another benefit, they can adapt the environment in different vaults to grow a different main crop. I think Vault 33 specialized in growing corn and Vault 32 grew wheat or vice versa. Third, it opens the way for new leadership, not just Overseer, but as heads of other administrative duties in the vault, Security, Gatekeeper, Plumbing, Electricity, etc.
" I don't know who the bad guy is"
The bad guy of Fallout is capitalism
How a monopoly/cartel situation= capitalism?
@@Shadi_Wajed , monopoly yes. Not sure what cartel has to do with anything.
@@ChadVital The corporations in the meeting scene were literally planning to form a cartel, which they end up doing. Cartels are just another form of monopoly, which by definition is anti capitalist.
I don't think Thaddeus is actually turning into a ghoul for one reason, ghouls don't regenerate. If they did they would't be missing their noses, Roger wouldnt have had exposed skull and The Ghoul wouldn't have had so sew on a new finger. Maximus just guessed Ghoul because he's not familiar with certain other things in the world that can regenerate.
Fair but then i think of episode 2 in Filly where the ghoul took multiple shots in his back. Maybe armored plates beneath the cloak, but i figured he regenerated those hits. I'm not sure in the game lore of they did, you are probably right. So the show either changed that and Thaddeus is a ghoul, or had a little plothole and Thaddeus is a mutant.
@@killerbas40 Ghouls are super resilient. They are functionally Immortal unless killed and can reattach limbs. Being able to take those bullet doesn't mean he instantly healed, it just means they weren't enough to kill him so he shrugged them off. I may be wrong, Ghouls can reattach limbs like they showed, so maybe in the show they are amping up that aspect, but I've seen others more familiar with the games than I am voice similar opinions so maybe it's true.
The Ghoul spent the last 30 years in a grave, with Dom Pedro dropping by once a year to cut pieces off him.
They regenerate with radiation that's in the games.
Ghouls do regenerate, though. Its stated in the games that they heal through radiation. In the series, they seem to use the term "ghoul" to refer to mutated people and not specifically what we know as Ghouls.
Last ep is an absolute hammer to the face.
Youll love it.
Thad isn't becoming a ghoul. He was just mutated. He was given a mutation serum that gives him accelerated healing. The serums were introduced in Fallout 76 and there are a variety of them. Healing, jumping, faster shooting etc. I think they refer to anyone who is mutated as a "ghoul" in the series. I, of course, may be wrong, and they are just changing on how ghouls in Fallout work
@sugarbomb1346 Hancock became a ghoul through an experimental drug
Who else thought that Sandra was the mom before she actually came on screen and was actually the sister. 😅
NGL, I thought Sandra was the meal for a moment.
@@generalmortars7557 oh no 😅.
I dont think thad is a ghoul. I believe he's a super mutant.
He just got a serum that gives him accelerated healing. Its the same thing you can use in Fallout 76. Hes just mutated now
They couldn’t remove the blue glowing bit out of his neck because if you try it’ll shock you.
Sandworms are nothing to a deathclaw…….😂 they are the same when it comes to infamy. I really hope we see one show the true power of a deathclaw in season 2
This is the one episode where I said the Ghoul was an asshole. He could've left without antagonizing the kid, he wanted to kill him to begin with.
Goosey really tried to vouch for Maximus, but the dude has approximately zero chill 😂
Is that Canon? Her name?
@symbionicrex10 Goosey? No, her name is Lucy, the overseer of vault 4 just refused to believe her and calls her Goosey, which I just find hilarious
@JaimeCard oh okay for a minute there I thought you were serious
@symbionicrex10 😂 nah, just think calling her Goosey is too funny not to do it the entire rest of the show. Though I didn't actually commit to that, think I forgot all about it the following episode.
@JaimeCard Yeah that part really came out of nowhere and the fact that they used a guest star to act as a cyclops is hilarious 😂
1 more episode leftttt glad y'all are loving the show 🖤

If Cold Fusion worked like they said it would, it wouldn't be difficult to monetize. Its a cash cow. Whoever owns it controls the distribution and they have less operating costs since it is endless.

4:06 not in our universe either.
i dont think maximus is a good guy, I think he only gave the core back because he wants the girl. i think that part of why betty split up the people into two vaults was to separate norm and chet even more, and other people, so that no on e started to talk. and separated norm from further information in vault 32. stephanie gives me bad vibes. i don't think the ghoul was wrong to kill the boy. the kid was pulling a gun on him and wasn't going to forgive him for killing his brother. it was self defense.
please react to DARK MATTER
it's really good
Vault 32 was an overpopulation experiment, as shown by the video when Chet and Norm went there in ep.4.
No it wasn't. Vault 32 served the same purpose as 33, which the next episode explains. That video was unrelated or a misdirect. They wouldn't be sending 31 members into a vault designed to go to shit.
Show is filled with misdirects. Take everything with a grain of salt.
4:45 lol yeah owning infinite energy "so hard to monetize"
It absolutely is. How do you sell gas to someone with infinite electricity?
The fact that it is infinite is what makes it hard to monetize. You can't sell people something when they already have more than they need.
@@INFINITE_AM_RADIO When you own the product that generates infinite electricity, you can charge whatever you want for the electricity it produces. Think how De Beers hordes diamonds to inflate the price, and they don't even control all diamonds. There are enough diamonds in existence to give everyone on the planet a cupful. Vault-tec could have monopolized the energy sector, but instead thought doing social experiments and blowing up the world would help their quarterly profits.. somehow because capitalism.
@@leeneufeld4140 The product they own doesn't just "give" everyone infinite energy by default. It is capable of producing infinite energy and vault-tec can charge customers access to it, just like any electric company. They can also charge them less than any other energy company, thus monopolizing the energy sector.
@@INFINITE_AM_RADIO Vault-Tec wouldn't be selling the customer gas, they would be selling them access to the energy produced by their cold fusion product.
Hey, this one is not in the Fallout playlist
You guys should react too demon slayer, especially with the new season coming out!!!
I love how the show's creators have created a moral dilemma for a lot of viewers, when considering how they feel about Cooper Howard's ghoul.
Everyone seems to want the ghoul to be an anti-hero, and he really isn't. His decisions are the product of a psychology that has survived for over 200 years of a sh*tty existence.
He is Homelander from The Boys, basically. He is a villain who you want to sympathize with because of his tragic past, but his constant murdering and torture kind of kills that desire at the same time.
Did you watch the same show? lol
I beg of you to watch karate kid in Cobra Kai
Hey.. Dont blame the Ghoul! The kid drew on him..Dont understand some peoples Basic reasoning skills? Do you think earth is flat?
The Ghoul antagonized Tommy and could have winged him instead of killing him. This scene establishes that the Ghoul has not had some miraculous shift to the good side because of Lucy saving him and seeing his own movie. A 200-year journey to self-centered evil is not changed in a day.
Nah, the kid would be coming after him, give or take a few years to farm some XP. Heck, I'd wager good money that lil' Sandra will take upon herself to do just that, eventually.
If it was already decided that Tommy had to die then why wait for him to draw? Tommy fucked up. THe ghoul did learn and become better from Lucy saving him. The golden rule, do unto others as you would have done to you. That is exactly what he did.
..My prediction is that Tommy comes back and he does to the ghoul what they made Coop do in the Movie Scene and shoots him in the head...
@@thrasher930 Because the Ghoul is a master of misery and this was the cruelest way to dispatch Tommy in front of his father. The Ghoul knew what he was doing from the beginning. He implied that he was eating Sandra and then mocked the father for believing exactly what the Ghoul intended. He casually and cruelly revealed that he had killed the eldest son, taunting them with the blood soaked letter. The father knows the Ghoul, knows what he will do if not appeased-the Ghoul has killed children, parents, entire families. (And we can imagine the Ghoul took some teeth and made some ass jerky from his victims as well.) The father knows the Ghoul would casually put a bullet between Sandra’s eyes to get what he wants. So Tommy gives up Moldaver’s location to protect his family, to protect his sister. But the Ghoul has killed all too many parents, siblings, children, lovers, friends of his victims. He knows the look in Tommy’s eyes, knows that Tommy believes (rightly) that the Ghoul deserves death. So the Ghoul taunts Tommy, inviting him to a death of the Ghoul’s design. Tommy is a child reaching for a long gun a full foot from his grasp. The Ghoul could have taken a nap and still had time to shoot the pistol in his hand. The Ghoul could have burst Tommy’s head like a piñata but it was crueler to let Tommy’s father-still grieving at the loss of one son-look into Tommy’s face as he died. The Ghoul leaves the father alive in his suffering. And while the Ghoul may have once shot Sandra for no other reason than because a girl can grow up into a women who seeks vengeance, the Ghoul knows its crueler to let her live as a reminder to her father that he still has something to lose. That terror is the Ghoul’s parting gift.
But of course the Ghoul intermittently tolerates a dog he once stabbed and casually abandoned so he must be good deep (deep) down.
The Ghoul is pure evil with a charming twang and clever quips. He has already had his character arc offstage. We see the hero before the bombs and the villain two centuries later but not the thousands and thousands of little compromises and justifications that were made along the way. He is not going to become “good” because a naive vault girl he sold to be butchered miraculously survived and then took pity on him. That’s why the writers have the Ghoul kill Tommy in front of his father. The Ghoul is still the Ghoul, and not all stories have redemption and happy endings.
Moldaver was right in her speech right up until the moment she said "commu.... is a dirty word they use to describe people who are not insane". History has shown how wrong Moldaver is, has it not?!
It’s because “communist” became bastardized to mean anything. It’s an easy way to ruin someone’s life.
Eric Estrada still can emote with the best of'em.
