It was the pomegranate on screen when I said Passionfruit at 8:00, same issue with all of those "P" fruits though! What was your favourite fruit from the bunch?
How fun. I like how the watermelon gives a red and green cast. The grapefruit and lime were my favorites. Thanks for showing how to shoot through the glass to make them glow.
Hi Ben yes I agree a sharp knife will give good cuts and results. I enjoyed your pink grapefruit and of course the kiwi. You had beard trimmings? You looked stunning.
Thank you for your videos, it helped me a lot during lockdown in France and i'm very happy with my first results in macro (water vs oil) with your advice
@@Adaptalux Forgive my laziness. I'd have elaborated it more in first place. By prop i meant mini tripod, LED, Camera, lens and tripod (brands and their link if possible)
For the LEDs and mini-tripod, you can get those from our website which is linked in the description. The camera is a D5600 and Tamron 100mm f2.8 Macro, Tripod is a Novoflex.
As a helpful hint to your fruit photography and helping you with less mess, here's what I did to prevent glass-goo! I went to the local store and bought a very cheap smooth white vinyl SHOWER CURTAIN! Simply place, and stretch, the shower curtain across your glass surface, and shoot from below as you normally would. Hope this helps save you a few sheets of paper towel! ~Alexa Shaw, A Simple Photographer
Been browsing on all ur videos where you mention the exact name of that tiny flexible lighting system.. And they are not in the video description too.. Give me the exact name pls.

The citrus fruits are certainly good for this kind of stuff. Glad you enjoyed it, Melissa.
lovely tutorial Grape fruit was best
I think so too, thanks for watching!
realy nice
Thank you!
I loved the Lime including the rind. Lemon and Grapefruit were also good.
Another vote for the lime!
Enjoyed your video, thanks! A Mandoline would work really well for evenly cut slices and they are not expensive.
This just added zest to photography rut I've been in the last few weeks, thank you Ben
Another fruit pun... Bravo!
A very tasty episode Ben. Great idea!
har har!
Awesome results! I'd try it at home but I know the fruit would go to waste afterwards.
Loved the pink grapefruit.
Yes, it's a good subject for when you're already going to be chopping up the fruit, best not to be wasteful!
Pink Grapefruit was the star. another great video
Yeah, definitely my favourite of the lot!
Very nice, so simple and yet lovely. 😊
The simplest subjects often make for some of the best pics!
One juicy video Ben your the the best
Cheers Michael!

Yes, much needed trim, there are no barbers open in the UK at the moment, so having to make do!
Hi. Thanks for this video. We used it for a macro challenge at the photoclub today. Also the video with oil and water.
Thanks a lot for your ideas.😀👍
Awesome to hear you're using the videos for challenges, I hope everyone had fun!
I'm your fan
I have learnt macro photography from you
Thanks sir
Glad to hear it, thanks for watching!
Thanks for those advices ! :-) I think i'm gonna try with a white background, to illuminate more. Very good video
A semi-translucent background like paper or some white perspex would work well I think!
Nice one.
I will try for my inbox.
Thanks for watching!

Yeah, didn't realise it was so blunt till I started chopping!
Definitely the grapefruit!! Loved this awesome idea! What was the name of the light you used?
Yep, it really worked well with the grapefruit! We make the light, it's the Adaptalux Studio, you can see more here - adaptalux.com/
Insightful video. You should have added details of prop used in video description (preferably Amazon link)
Sorry not sure what prop you mean?

#replay. For more even and consistency in cut employ use of mandolin.
