Can't believe I am agreeing with Sneyhil re movies😁. Achi movie to thi!
This is becoming one of my fav podcasts that I look forward to every week…all of them are so likeable and they all have different perspectives to add to discussion. Hope this goes mainstream so they can continue making it.
Jigra is definitely a very good movie but would have been even better had it been either a full fledged prison break action movie or had stayed consistent with its brother sister drama tone . It tried to be both at the same but nonetheless is a terrific movie . But i dont understand why critics hated this unpreachy ,unabashed female led experimental film so much .May be because plot was quite basic and just like abbas bhai who does not have enough wisdom to understand why Anurag Kashyap lost his mind only after realizing what he did to his own daughter and not some random other girl in maharaja the movie plot went over critics' head .
Lol on a side note some of the best critics naming Sucharita, Rahul Desai, Uday Bhatia, Sukanya Verma, Suchin Mehrotra to name a few quite liked the film.

Just found your channel today and have been binge watching ur podcast the entire day its such a good podcast love the vibe just three friends chilling and discussing abt a topic keep up the good work guys 🖤
Amazing episode guys.
Loved it.
Just watched jigra over the weekend. I had all the frustrations that antariksh had here. I watched this pod when it aired and today I needed an outlet for my frustration about the movie and I was like wait did abbas like it. So, I came here and to my surprise antariksh provided me the catharsis I needed 😂😂
Its not overrated at all. Its too realistic which keeps it grounded. The movie lacks the mass appeal though
Bro Antariksh ne Jigra ko itna toda agar Martin dekhta toh kya hota would love a podcast on Martin
Fun fact- Savi collection has done that distributors had booked the tickets to show the collection.
People who enjoyed/didn’t hate Animal shouldn’t talk about plot issues and conveniences 😂
I agree. That movie was 15 different scenes of the director wanting to hammer his point across, smashed together with good bgm.
Bit much.
42:10 The teacher's name was Prateik Joseph in Wilson College and in every lecture he used to come and sing Ande ka Funda!
So basically Antariksh "outer space" guy wanted this movie to be slick, Alia could have been discharged police officer or army lady, who could do a lot of action, some female Rambo things and the entire break out should have been action packed and Ocean's level planning.
Which is an entirely different movie.
plot twist ..............Antariksh bhai hi abbas bhai hai
Basically, as per Lord KRK, the whole Savi-Jigra controversy started because Mukesh Bhat bought the rights of a French movie for some crores, pitched it to T-Series, got Savi funded, made it under his banner, and later his brother, (from the same movie banner) Alia's father, Mahesh Bhat, pitched the same story to Alia, who then went to Dharma & made Jigra.
So, Divya is mad as Alia made the same movie as her, but without paying for the rights & there's nothing she can do about that because... she's T-Series. Also, both Mukesh & Mahesh are family. However, professionally, they parted ways in 2021.
Antariksh- There are many potholes.
Say tell us not able to recollect it now😂😂😂😂
Antariksh is soooooo right!
Jigra was bang average. This episode discussing about Jigra was somehow worse 😅
Bin baat ka Snayhil was ultra defensive for the movie. His points about the movie made it sound like it was a masterpiece!
Agree with Antariksh about the way this movie was panned out poorly by the makers. Also i LOVED Monica Oh My Darling hence maybe the extra disappointment.
agree with snayhil part…but i think antariksh was unnecessarily ultra aggressive on the movie…no one is calling it a masterpiece but it was not as bad as antariksh was making it to be
Monica O My Darling was sooooo good! Radhika Apte was such a standout. No idea what happened to Vasan Bala's script sense. Jigra was very boring.
quite a start...
Even for the likes of Rahul Desai and few more critics, it’s probably Alia’s career best performance and you guys didn’t even care to mention it. Just bizarre
I quite like antarkish being so real
You guys should watch the Tamil movie"vaazhai" , it's a brilliant film
I really enjoyed your “thoughts” - they’re wildly entertaining! I do have some feedback, and I hope you don’t take it the wrong way. Actors like Ashwini Kalsekar and Mukesh Tiwari have been around for quite some time and have contributed immensely to Bollywood. Some might even say they’ve dedicated their lives to it. While I don’t expect everyone to know their names, for the hosts of a “Bollywood” film review channel not to know them feels a bit off, especially since they aren’t that obscure. Just found that a bit annoying. Otherwise, kudos to you guys for putting these videos out there :)
I didn't like Jigra at all, screenplay was all over the place! It should have been more interesting...to many plot holes and very weak screenplay/pacing.
8:26 What is he talking about? Anyone?
You guys are going to be sticking around for a while, I hope? My New York Mets are 2 wins from making the World Series, but 1 loss from being eliminated (they’re down 3 games to 2 in a best-of-seven vs. the LA Dodgers 🤬), so I’m bracing myself for a long, depressing winter-while also job-hunting in a crappy market. Main dukhi hone wala hoon, to I’m gonna need y’all to help keep my spirits up. Aap log meri madat karenge, na? 🙏🏽⚾️😆
Thanks fellas! And I was right about aanewaali dukhi, because the Mets indeed lost the series to the Dodgers in 6 games, and I still need a job. So I am being the very the sads. 😂
Honestly I liked Jigra ...but i have to admit the ending was maybe too much for me ...but anyway i really liked the movie ❤
Sorry to say but I guess Antariksh is just blatantly hating on Jigra without even understanding it..Snehil got the core of the film absolutely bang on..the main focus point of the film is the brother sister bond, the emotional core..nowhere they said or promoted it like a masala action thriller..it is not!!! If you went with the wrong perception and wrong expectations then it’s your problem. Of course the movie is not perfect, it has flaws like yes I agree that it could have been more crisp, some portions could have been edited..but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad film. The emotional core is super strong, it hit me..I think Alia was amazing, Vedang and Manoj Pahwa were also really good. Overall it’s a good movie!
Abhi bhi Superchat On Nhi karii
Mai jigra dekhne k baad wapis aunga... abhi bye
Which Sony show is Antariksh talking about?
Which show telling too
antariksh took a big L in this episode. his trademark shrieking voice to make a point so that others think it is valid.
I too went in with the expectation of slick action movie, with some matrix level action given the stylistic choices of vasan bala in his previous movies. instead it turned out to be more of a jail break dramedy, which was completely fine by me.
the way the movie turns out, is a more real look at how a jailbreak will take place (ie with a lot of obstacles and failures) if it ever does.
I loved this movie because of my relationship with my elder sisters, and i know they will go to any lengths for me.
Jigra is more of a movie on their relationship rather than the jailbreak, although it was advertised as the other way. now i watch the trailer only as a sibling relationship movies, and it makes more sense.
the movie isnt perfect, yes, but it has its emotions at the right place, which is why it won over me.

Bhai episode toh dekh lo pehle!!
The film is already getting unwarranted hate and your thumbnail is not helping the narrative. So maafi for jumping to conclusions. Hope there’s a fair discussion on it. Will definitely watch
Will wait for your reply here post the episode. Hope you enjoy our discussion on the film :)
Bhaiyo first of all, just go and watch the teaser again. The film never promised a slick jailbreak actioner. It was always going to be an emotional sibling story with other elements ofc. Also even for Rahul Desai and few more critics, it is probably Alia’s career best performance and it’s sad you guy didn’t even mention it. I have so much to say and it’ll be too long so please if you have 2-3 minutes. Just read Bala’s interview with The Hollywood Reporter India. A very honest filmmaker talking about a flawed but deeply moving film.
JIGRA is a wannabe Masala movie. IT JUST DID NOT WORK
space is bitter about the steal...

Underrated bolo if anything
