Seeing Survival Hunters in a RWF context in such prominence is still so surreal to me.
Turning point of the race, im pretty sure psychologically Liquid players felt like shit after they implied the boss was unkillable w/o an hp nerf and echo woke up and killed it. Liquid outplayed echo up until they reached the bosses that weren't tested on ptr
As a melee main along the years(in almost any game) glad to see a heavy melee class fight, since shyvarras in argus i was waiting for this.
thats wrong because Coven of Shivarra was a ranged fight, my guild was nothing special world 250ish when we killed Argus Mythic and i remember how on Shivarra prog we had me on Windwalker, 2 tanks and thats it for melee as it was much easier to keep boss dmg while standing in safe zones etc as Range
I was so confused that i checked Method's WF kill and they have as far as i can see on raidframes 3 melee too, perfecto on rogue and 2 tanks
@@discmania5677 Thats not really true as Yes alot of times some mechanics dont touch melee just ranged but the ones that do completly destroy your damage, also theres alot more voidzones in melee to the point you're playing floor is lava 24/7. I'm not saying melee is harder but i would never say it's easier because its harder for different reasons. but i cant disagree that melee doesnt deal with fewer mechanics.
Every ranged spec has a way of doing some dmg on the move while as a melee if u gotta move out the raid for a mechanic ur doing jack shit dps not just slightly lower

Didn't Liquid get this to like 13%, didn't bother optimizing any DPS whatsoever, then just went to pull Rygelon a few times before bed and before Max started crying on twitter about the boss needing a HP nerf? KEKW. Guess they realized they couldn't call for Jailer nerfs when they were getting spanked so they just quit instead lul

Damn, Echo fans going wild because Liquid thought the boss was unkillable, regardless of Liquid killing it a bit later as well. At least they didn't look for an opportunity to call Echo raiders cheaters.

So Blizzard designs their raids around addons. Would love to see a remake of this without them. Gratz I guess. Now that the race is over I'm sure Blizzard will have good insight on what to buff or nerf in these raids. Wonder if these top guilds get paid by Blizzard and is it worth it?
