since last year I've had periodic sores on my genitals. I have been teste twice for genital herpes and both my swabs (PCR) came back negatives. My blood only cofirmed my HSV1 diagnosis (which is normal, I've had cold sores since I am a child). I've done the blood test 8 months after my last sexual intercose. I have many symptoms that still make me think it's herpes (pain and itchiness, fatigue, head aches and nerve pain before the lesion appears). Is it possible that I got genital HSV1 years after getting it orally and it just does not show in my swabs? Thank you for your answe drpopoola
