Stopped by America’s Oldest Roadside Attraction, Lucy the Elephant. She is a also a National Historic Landmark.
She is massive. I had trouble getting all of her in the pictures.
We took the tour. It was very informative.
I didn’t realize you could go all the way to the top inside her howdah (saddle chair). I also didn’t know that the giant window in the ceiling inside is the floor of the howdah.
We had a great time and learned a lot. Here is the website:

Enjoy the video!
Have a great day!

I havent seen Lucy since the fities. She looks pretty good! Good reminder to take my grandson there next summer. Thanks
They are taking good care of Lucy. I haven’t been there since I was a kid either. Glad you enjoyed the memories. 😊
Nice vid. I found that rear window placement hilarious. 😂
Yea that window is really funny. Lol 🐘
I never realized Lucy has all those windows on her. The time my parents and I went was in 2018 and Lucy was closed so we couldn't go inside, so we stood by the fence and took pictures and left and got lost going back to Ocean City...lol I am not sure how but we ended up going to Somers Point. Once we got there then we knew our way back to OC. It was a rainy and windy day anyway so we didn't miss any beach time at all. I like your pictures and videos of Lucy.
Thank you! I haven’t been there in a very long time so it was nice seeing Lucy again. 🐘
@@StormmiesWorld I am sure it was! I am about due to see Lucy again and this time actually be able to go inside. Hopefully next year.
I think last time I drove past Lucy was about 3 years ago. Last time I actually stepped foot inside was early 90's. I do remember it being smelly and kind of decrepit inside. Still neat that it's still around though 🙂👍
Well it wasn’t smelly and I think the plaster inside is being redone next winter. Worth stopping by to see it. 🐘
@@StormmiesWorld oh ok, that's good to know. Thanks 👍
