I did leave a comment on his video addressing this, but it is up to him whether he will change his ways or not, as he's done this before with other editors. Obi wan was the only one person on the council who did believe in Anakin and not just because Anakin was the chosen one like Qui gon did . that’s why obi wan was so upset about turning to the darkside as knew that Anakin could been so much more than the selfish and cruel person that he was as Vader. Yes Obi wan made some mistakes that caused Anakin to believe that obi wan didn’t care about him. But in the end it was Anakin and his own foolish trust in the Chancellor that dammed Anakin to the darkside and being Vader.

But I think v can't really blame the Jedi council.
The Jedi were a monastic order who only took people when they were very young. From millenia of experience that attachment leads to bad stuff similar to Buddhism.
Either they didn't realize the role of attachment in light side force or they decided it was too difficult for them.
The way I see it, Jedi order could have been reformed from within but not the empire.

epic. And schandmax, you are wrong, remember the Jedi philosophy. Okay, i think that too, that Obi leaves the ship speaking with Qui Jon saying that is going to finish, that is Vader or him. But, as i say, if you mix the jedi philosophy and Obi Wan have compassion to Anakin, leave him maybe to get him more deeper in the dark and maybe little by little reconsider getting out of the dark side (yes, only Luke get Anakin redemption)

I think he deserved the Master Jedi council rank because from SW:1 to The revenge of the Sith you can see the evolution and in the revenge of the sith he was at the level of Obi Wan, he starts the movie fighting like him in the starships and final fight was too draw, until high gound come.
Anyway, if we go deeper, Obi was at the level or more that Qui Jon Jin. He was killed by Darth Maul. 2 Sabers. Imagine that is not Maul, that Qui Jon fight General Grievous. In his style, Obi Wan, defending and counter-attack he is master. And had the rank. Anakin was a master in the agressive way, he deserved a purple Lightsaber too like Mace Window, the man who taked Jango Fett's head off in a savage attack xd (like Anakin did to Dooku, a even more powerful and dangerous enemy, a Lord Sith) l, and because the jedi lightsaber philoshopy, Thats whats talking about, Obi Wan was at same level of the master that Anakin was from him, because he defeated Dooku, someone who Obi Wan, his master, cant because need the Mace Window tecnique or Anakin, yeah i think Mace Window would kick the Count Dooku ass but not the Grievous or Maul one because need the Obi Wan master style, so yes, i think Anakin was at the level of the master in ep3 defeating a enemy who master cant like happened with Padawan Obi Wan and Master Qui Gon, and for sure if they give him the master jedi rank he will be done, he says he wants to be more than the jedi he is, not just a padawan, want to be a master. A battle of Anakin against Mace Window would be good, the 2 most agressive jedi.
This is a important thing, if he had the Master Jedi rank, maybe dont want more, so yes i think the reason that Anakin was attracted to dark side was his craving to be something more than a padawan, a master, defeated even enemies that Master can't, a thing that Obi Wan dont had, lust for "power" (And yes, the Palpatine lies about saving Padme was "the straw that broke the camel's back"; the last thing that happened that made him very upset, angry and turn Darth Sidious Aprentice, washed his brain making him think the new republic and order 66 were the good ones, and Jedi like a sect of a religion who need to be exterminated)

It makes it even more poetic because even though he lost the fight, he was throwing the evilness in the version of a smile at ObiWan making him feel insulted, sad, as well as upset for him. The only problem that I had with this episode was how strong ObiWan got in the Force to put down Vader. Vader about that part of his life should've been powerful enough to do what he did to ObiWan with him less attune to the Force. When he Force grabs him and drags him through fire.

The 'Anakin is gone' scene is fantastic, an ultimate pinnacle for one of the all time great fictional characters.
Firstly, it's brilliantly filmed. You can watch it ten times and see a new level of detail on each occasion (personally I love how Kenobi is illuminated by the pure blue of his lightsaber, whilst Vader moves from a mix of blue and red to pure red as he speaks).
Secondly, and most importantly, it has the right degree of ambiguity. Is Vader 'what remains' because he is less than he would have been, or because he has stripped away all his weaknesses? Is he taking responsibility for the death of Anakin to free Kenobi of his guilt, or to credit himself? Does he consider his fall as tragic, or triumphant? All of the above? Something else? It's different every time I see it.
Thirdly, the conclusion is perfect. Kenobi has won. He has every justification to kill Vadar, a murderous hate-filled machine that cannot be rehabilitated, and a person now entirely divorced from Anakin, but he refuses to execute a helpless enemy. He has found his own strength in his humanity, and will not sacrifice it. As Nietzsche said, 'Beware that, when facing monsters, you yourself do not become a monster'.
Finally, Vadars impotent rage is perfect. A bully exists in a world of victimisation, creating it in others until, having met a greater force, they create it in themselves. Vadar is not a bully. He is so consumed by rage and pain that he would rather continue a fight to the death, even after he knows he cannot win, than change his path and his perception of himself. He has committed such appalling acts that his life can be nothing now other than rage or death.
Like all the best works of fantasy, Star Wars works because of the fundamental human truths in the lead characters.

@@serenas.3842 Palpatine only manipulated what he knew they wouldn't let go of. In the Clone Wars, one of the Clones' inhibitor chip failed, and he started attacking Jedi, and they investigated and found the inhibitor chip in his brain. Then Obi Wan pointed out that none of them knew about the contract that was made with Kamino, until an assassin conveniently attempted to kill Padme when there were Jedi guarding her, with a dart that would easily be traced back to Kamino. They put two and two together, and realized the Clones were all ticking time bombs meant to be used to wipe out the Jedi, and the FIRST PERSON they suspect set it up is Palpatine.
The Jedi cared more about saving face, and maintaining their position in society, than actually preventing their own deaths and downfalls. They noticed, even before all of this, that Anakin was leaning towards the dark side, and even after they had a very good reason to believe Palpatine was Dooku and Maul's master, they still didn't object to his close relationship with Anakin. They leaned on a decades, even centuries old prophecy that someone would annihilate the Sith for for good, and used that, combined with the fact that Anakin was arguably rivaling Windu and Yoda in power when he was barely finished with his Padawan training, to justify their lust for power and control. Their arrogance, greed, and cowardice was their own undoing.

If you’ve ever read the Darth bane books, all the Jedi and Sith were obsessed with what is killing each other off. As you can probably tell 1000 years later, that tradition never really died off. So they probably just wanted to kill another Sith out of spite, not caring, or knowing what other traps lay head.

I don't care what anyone says about this series - these last two episodes, and this scene right here made it all worth it. In the entire Skywalker saga, to me, no scene is more powerful than this. It set the stage for so much going forward. The fact that beneath all that hate, rage, sadness, and depression, there was always a faint glimmer of Anakin still in there, we can see how in the end, Luke was able to tap into that part of him and bring him back to the light side, and he eventually brought balance back to the force. (well, for a while anyways lol) Only his son could've done this.

The SW movies and shows really did a great job of telling, the tragedy of Darth Vader.
A compelling and sad tale in which Obi-Wan, his true friend, brother, and mentor, really was the only one who knew the depths of what it cost Anakin to become Vader.
Anakin traded anything and everyone he ever cared about for the illusion of power. This shows that fear turns to anger, anger becomes hate, and hate brings suffering. Vader is a pitiable character who lost everything that matters because he chose poorly...

It truly was a representation of what Star Wars should be, and most of all, it had heart, and is special to so many people around the world. It's sad that the films were overhated and misunderstood at the time, but like I mentioned before, the love for them has only increased over time and it's heartwarming to see that people are finding themselves enjoying and appreciating them more than they remember back then.

From the initial excitement of having two boys that I believed would become fans only to end up saddened by their disinterest. Vintage toys I took down from the loft thinking we would play and watch the movies together... Never happened.
As a kid myself these films were part of me and were my number one interest. Comics, the toys, friends coming over to play massive set ups.. the dining room was tatooine, jabbas throne room was on the stairs...
Anyway time ticked on, toys were recently sold to pay for holidays and new family memories. Disney watered down the franchise and I would show less and less interest. For the first time since I was 6 more than a year would go by without me seeing any of the film's.

      2) Reference Old Sith Wars, when the High Council attempted to consolidate their power and centralize the Order (Mace Windu type Jedis). Some Jedi felt that the Council did not have the authority to reinterpret the Jedi Code, and considered themselves beholden only to the Force (like Qui Gon). Yoda imput essential. Show Obi Wan that that is the future and Luke essential to this new focus o Jedi Code;
      3) Reference the future New Jedi Order where Jedi reduced in number were slowly restored, and Luke's leadership essential to this, and how his academy fits into this (Sequels showed no New Jedi Order restored, which is canon, showing the writers know jack crap about the lore and Luke).
      4) the big reveal that Dooku, Qui Gon's Master/Mentor, was truly a Grey Jedi, how he learned from Dooku, initially an idealist, the Jedi had lost their way but did not fall to disillusionment and disdain of the jedi order and Senate corruption like Dooku thanks to Yoda. Yoda - Dooku's Master/mentor as padwan, has much to say here.
      5) How to defeat Vader. Until the time came, Luke was to be goaded into wanting to face Vader and use love to light up the Anakin spark in Vader. He will never be defeated in battle, so a new approach needed. use the jedi loathing toward attachments to your favor. Have Anakin sense his son, cling to an attachment to him and eventually his love for son will get him to crush Vader and be Anakin once again while Luke's desire to save his father a key element to it. Sith would be destroyed as would happen in ROTJ. This approach will cause divide among Yoda (too skeptical at his old age to see it happening, Obi Wan (who, after his last confrontation with Vader is convinced Vader is supreme and Anakin spark will never resurface; and Qui Gon (who cooks up this plan and his Force Ghost wisdom has him promoting it).

@@haydnplaysgames This is unexplored territory that needs to be fleshed out. If we want to enter High Republic in film we must explore the Yoda Master/Kantam Sy pawan dynamic, and adventure for them, the state of the Jedi and Republic, and the Sith Big bad of the trilogy films. A trilogy of films can cover the galactic Republic where the Yoda/master/Dooku Padwan dynamic is in play, state of the Republic and Jedi, and the Sith Big bad. Another trilogy on the Dooku Master/Qui Gon padwan (Aveross too but not to take away the Qui Gon bond with Dooko in center stage) dynamic preceding the Phantom Menace.
Call it the Yoda Saga (i'm serious) and continued in a way with Grogu. Predates the Skywalker Saga (after Episode 6 is ongoing).

Wasn't a fan of Obi Wan, but that scene was so good and incredible. It's as good for me as that scene in Episode 2 when he confesses to the massacre, which is so underrated because it is the start of his fall.
