Why Do So Many Sexual Assaults in the U.S. Military Go Unpunished? | NYT Opinion

  • Service members are more likely to be assaulted by a fellow soldier than shot by an enemy at war. The crisis persists because of an archaic set of rules that gives commanders control over whether perpetrators are prosecuted. In this video guest essay, a Republican senator, a former military prosecutor and a survivor argue that sexual assault cases should be handled by independent, specialized prosecutors.

Hello Alex Stockton my name is Christopher, here is a copy of the comment I left.
Aggravated sexual battery for the purpose harvesting adrenalized blood for adrenachrome is the most underreported sexual crime in the USA.
Law enforcement agencies across America spend most of their efforts covering these crimes up.
Anyone can test this out, call any law enforcement agency and ask what is the protocol for victims of aggravated sexual battery with the use of pharmaceutical nerve stimulators for the purpose of adrenachrome production.
They will say things like "adrena what",
      "I never heard of that".
Internal protocols within the FBI have been to cover up all adrenalized blood harvesting for adrenachrome because of the 1993 Supreme Court declaration that promoted adrenachrome production, "because it makes "ALOT OF MONEY" according to the FBI.
Sources- Agent Jeff Peterson of the Salt Lake City office and Christopher Wray current director.
I am a victim and an advocate for victims of aggravated sexual battery for the purpose of adrenalized blood harvesting for adrenachrome.
I think if we tackle this problem first we will see better results handling other sexual based crimes.
The United States military has been using pharmaceutical nerve stimulators to perform aggravated sexual battery on its personnel in order to regulate all sexual actions including masturbation as per the 1993 Supreme Court declaration.
      TRUTH HURTS.
I will answer any questions as I have not signed any NDE about anything discussed above.
post your questions in the comments and I will disclose.
If you are willing to shed light on this issue please contact me thank you for your consideration.

I do not like the shrill music that starts at 2:42. I get that it's needed to give context (you want the military guy to "sound military" but it's very distracting, and even more so on 2x speed. So please cut back on the music, or talk to some of the audio mixing people, because shrill music and speaking do not mix. The drums that were present before the music came on was OK, since it was not distracting to the speaking. Try to follow more in that example.

Army veteran here and female, I served 7 years active duty and was a sergeant when I left. Sexual assault is common in the Army. And the military has been very reactive instead of proactive in combating it. It wasn’t until they were openly criticized that we started seeing training, programs, and initiatives to help fight the trend. This video is very correct in the explanation of how the chain of command works, and it makes it very easy for bias and discrimination to occur. Most commanders don’t want the trouble or paperwork of a sexual assault and will try to handle it ‘at the lowest level’. While I was in, there were resources and designated advocates- however, the information was not well distributed and the process was a little complicated. And just the potential for pushback or concern for their career was enough to deter most soldiers from reporting incidents. We also have a very heavy drinking culture and we are very male dominated. Females are still looked down on in the military and are not treated with the same respect. Heaven forbid you have children while serving like I did- they label you ‘worthless’ when you’re pregnant or recovering from giving birth. There is an underlying lack of respect for women in the military, chain of command infrastructure that makes it easy to abuse others or dismiss problems, and a drinking culture all happening within a highly stressful environment where most soldiers are kept in close quarters to each other. There needs to be a better way to handle these assaults and bigger punishments to deter.

Drinking culture persists when deployed or when never deployed, has nothing to do with ‘preparing to lose your life’.
I didn’t say the chain of command didn’t work with combat situations, I’m saying it isn’t effective in lots of other areas.
You can’t literally deny women the right to fight in combat for generations, then look down on them for not being allowed to sacrifice themselves in combat throughout history...? You can’t make fun or disrespect those who were intentionally excluded from the game.
I’m curious if you’ve ever served, been deployed, or have any sort of experience whatsoever to back yourself?

There is not remotely the same experiences because just males face excruciating combat, and the chain of command is universal in any army that wins wars, which is just another fact.

Interesting. Believing what you want to believe.
There’s a reason this video was able to be produced. It’s enough of an issue and enough people’s experiences that it’s a problem. So you can try and invalidate all our experiences, that’s fine. But the truth is the truth. And it’s coming out more and more. Instead of coming at me, you might wanna aim your arguments at the bigger issue in the video instead of trying to say I and so so many others are... delusional? Lying? That’s easier than trusting peoples experiences?

"There’s a reason this video was able to be produced. " yes, for clicks and virtue signaling from an organization looking for profit, not the truth. Does it matter as an argument?. NO.
"enough people’s experiences that it’s a problem" sure, nobody is saying the problem does not exist, nor it has not to be solved. It is the nonsensical argumentation you deploy, seeking a respect you haven't earned,
or complaining a chain of command you think should serve another purpose. That is why it is so delusional.
" But the truth is the truth." correct, that is why I stated facts, not my opinion. Do you want to pretend I'm denying the problem described in the video?.
How dare you?. I denied the myriad of ignorant nonsense YOU were arguing, because you know nothing of the military.

The reason why sexual assault isnt a big problem in the turjish army is largely because women dont serve in frontline or infantry, webhave many women in army but they are more likely to be officers, and people dont sexually assault their superiors.

the entire following is my personal opinion, based on personal experience - imagine being named alan b richmond jr, a civilian, the adult son of alan b richmond sr, who has worked with the department of defense, was a host on the pentagon channel, was the public relations / media representative for the naval post graduate school in monterey ca, worked with a large us military / defense tech contractor stromasys, worked as the public relations / media rep for the hawaii police department, was a marine who served in vietnam, was a member of the press club hawaii, was a radio / television on air personality and radio station program manager in california for decades, was a tv news weatherman in monterey ca, was a member of national press organizations, and had affiliations with the white house of the united states, attended a white house press dinner or some prestigious gathering during the clinton era, perhaps through his possible friendship with former cia director among other things, leon panetta, and myriad other affiliations / positions, and being stalked / hazed / harassed / targeted for years / months by military, paramilitary, enlisted serviceman of all branches, but especially navy, marines, army, and special force types with infrared flags on their sleeves, sexually harassed during that stalking, sexually assaulted while unconscious and during a period of very concentrated military stalker swarming, that immediately ended two days after the assault and when hospital / er sexual assault kit was conducted, and police report made, to a police station full of officers in sequim washington that include a small town boys club and of course as usual, former or career military serviceman, that also take part in the harassment and hazing, before, during, and after, one of which who in my personal opinion commits police report perjury by stating incorrect facts, and the case closed, followed by a second incident less than a month later, only to have that case closed, and be a small town harassed laughing stalk as the first sexual assault was rumored to have been filmed and perpetrated by a group of men (both cases rumored to be groups of men who had been targeting), and shown throughout the small olympic peninsula regions as an act of vengeance and humiliation for a family dispute, hate campaign, and a targeted as 'trans' and rejected male homosexual grooming effort campaign, being stalked intermittently afterwards for the following years, regardless of state / city, which include fusion center style law enforcement / military organized type collectives, reporting it to the fbi, more than once, having death threats and bodily harm throughout, and having associated celebrity, especially black celebrity types, referenced throughout (for whatever reason), with inferences or references / suggestion of quincy jones, amir questlove, jay z and beyonce, sean combs, kanye west, pharrell williams, oprah winfrey, and numerous others, especially with 'chicago' affiliation, or black music entertainment sports industries, and having nothing being done for justice. imagine being exploited all the while living in a 20 year old vehicle, that is accessed while asleep and away from it), having the car and items tampered with, and having all this occur throughout, and then having people expect one to be sympathetic to the military, veterans, or anything as such, and / or efforts of triggering by mentioning such affiliation. imagine all this occurring as a lifelong artist, musician, surfer, athlete, and attending the staedelschule hochschule fur bildende kunst in frankfurt germany, being exploited and duped by the aforementioned collectives and what in my opinion was the use and exploitation of a german model anna christina schwarz, to instigate / force fleeing life on a sailboat unkowingly previously owned by a laurence / lawrence m kerr, which has the same profile as a career washington dc military strategist / academic, and diplomat to various nations, including germany, to be marched around the streets of new york for 6-7 months while living on the streets, from the last week of december 2017 to june or july or 2018, whereby the aforementioned black celebrities were also often appearing or referenced, especially in social media, only to return to all of the aforementioned, including the eventual sexual assault / harassment.

It is not just the prosecutors, the cops investigating them must be specially trained. Civilian cops are specially trained to investigate these crimes, military people like CID, OSI etc. must get the same training. People must be told to seek help by going to a civilian hospital ASAP. Preserve the evidence. Do not bathe or shower or eat/drink. Take the exam.

Here in the USA freedom is not free..as so with respect and many other things. You have to fight for it. Running is what people who do these crazy things want you to do. They get power from your fear. Alot of people goingvtobbash me for this..but this is the reality. A problem is not a problem until it's an issue for everyone..so scream loud enough to make ot an issue for everyone
