    very informative. i'm 15 and am thinking about this topic regularily already!!! i just quit a part-time job that has been making me really unhappy so that i can work on more important personal projects, and am investing my earnings!!

    Excellent video. You are very wise for someone so young. More people need to think about their purchases the way you articulated, as a percentage of their bank account. Or, for those who are working a job where they trade their time for money, another way to look at it is: is this item worth the number of hours out of my life that I have to work at my job to make the money to pay for it? Most people are just not that thoughtful about their purchases, to their own detriment and to the benefit of "the system."
