It took me some more time to get the niche going and build my reputation/clientele. Now after 2 using Lee's strategies I have a profitable business and freedom. Thank you, Lee!

    I'm a web designer and content writer, however, it's been pretty difficult getting a regular stream of leads or clients. . .kinda been off-&-on.
    May i ask if your leads/clients generating methods are location dependent, or they can be used anywhere you're situated across the globe?

    Hey Lee, this video alone made me re-think my whole business plan, so thanks! I have a doubt, at 8:36 you mentioned the google business profile optimization. How should I go about this? Should I make a video showing my client how to optimize it? or should they grant me access as an administrator or something like that? thank you!

    • @DoubleStack
      @DoubleStack  4 месяца назад +1

      They should add you on as a manger so you get do all the Google Business Profile work without them having to be bothered. I've got a full tutorial on exactly how to do this my mentorship programs. It's not that your clients CAN'T do this themselves. The value is that they SHOULDN'T distract themselves from their main specialty to do the stuff that you can do better and faster. So, to some degree, targeting the right clients is important. For example, why would a chiropractor stop making hundreds of thousands of dollars helping people live healthier lives to log into a Google Business Profile? That wouldn't make any sense.

    Lee, how do I decide what price point to wnter the market / niche as a beginner. Even to find the best niche to target? I am a beginner web designer and want to some advice on running ads and how to acquire the right customers ! Any advice would help. Thanks

    • @DoubleStack
      @DoubleStack  12 дней назад

      I almost never see anyone running ads successfully for web design. The fastest way to get clients is through in-person relationships like networking events, meetups, and even just one-on-one interactions with business owners. I think the most important thing that sets us apart is the ability to offer more than just a website. It's important to offer something that's comprehensive enough to move the needle - at least a little bit - for the client. So, there needs to be something to drive traffic, something to pull leads from that traffic, and something to convert those leads into clients. A really good entry-level service that checks a lot of these boxes is Google Business Profile Management - or at least helping people get reviews on Google. The platform we use for this is called Reviews On My Website which you can find here:
      lee.blue/reviewsonmywebsite
      That's an affiliate link, but I asked them to apply half of my commission to discount the price for you so everybody wins. :)

    Thanks Lee. I have a design and UX/usability and SEO background. I work with my wife in the business together (no other income streams, yet). We took on a new client for hosting and support with a modest annual budget. They paid for a diagnostic with recommendations and their website has so many issues. It took 40 hours to do the diagnostic and audits which we overdelivered massively, working through the night on several days. Didnt see much of our daughters over half term with all this work.
    We costed for fixing and its almost as much as a redesign. What do you do in these cases? They were not expecting the estimated costs (500 page website).
    Should we patch things up as much as possible within the monthly fee? I want to provide a x20 ROI and I know we can, it just needs way more hours. Cheers!

    • @DoubleStack
      @DoubleStack  Год назад

      When I'm working with a huge site (like this 500 page site), I try to chunk it up and redesign sections based on the ad campaigns we're running and where the traffic is coming from. In other words, I make fresh "funnels" with the new branding and design for them.
      I'd need to know more about this client to figure out exactly what I'd offer them, but it would be really fun to work with you on developing a pitch for this. If you hop into Blue Theory we can strategize about this in the Water Cooler (our live feedback channel). I'm in there all day working on stuff like this with people. Just tag me in a post, and we'll put our heads together and get an offer dialed in for this client. Lee.Blue/

    Just wondering if you teach outsourcing and creating teams and systems inside the training…

    • @DoubleStack
      @DoubleStack  Год назад +2

      A bunch of people in Blue Theory have full-time jobs as they build their own businesses. So, yes, you can definitely see success even if you have limited time to work on your business. Here's a summary of how it can all work.
      I like to allocate 25 hours to the initial setup work, like building the website, the logo, writing the site copy, etc. If you only have a couple of hours per day, this would give you about two weeks to build and launch the website, which is good.
      Then, for the monthly maintenance and marketing plan, I like to allocate 2.5 hours per week per client.
      For pricing, I charge $2,500 - $3,500 for the setup and $850/mo for the monthly maintenance and marketing plan.
      I also recommend devoting at least 3 - 5 hours per week to marketing your business (finding clients).
      So, if you have 1-2 hours per day to devote to your web design business, you could land one client per month until you have five total clients on monthly retainers. That would put your cap at about $60,000/year in annual revenue.

      Yes, the $850 is just the management fee for all the stuff we're doing. The client pays directly for the ad spend.

    Hi Lee,
    I'm currently working full time and looking for ways to generate additional income. Is it possible to achieve success with an hour or two a night? I don't want to land clients and not be able to take care of them properly. Thank you.

    • @DoubleStack
      @DoubleStack  Год назад +2

      I like to allocate 25 hours to the initial setup work, like building the website, the logo, writing the site copy, etc. At your capacity, this would give you two weeks to build and launch the website, which is good. Then, for the monthly maintenance and marketing plan, I like to allocate 2.5 hours per week per client. Lastly, I also recommend devoting at least 3 - 5 hours per week to marketing your business (finding clients). So, with your current availability, you could probably land one client per month until you have five total clients on monthly retainers. That would put your cap at about $60,000/year in annual revenue, given your current time restrictions.

      I can help with that. That's one of the main points of Blue Theory, actually. There are things you can pick up really quickly that you can charge monthly for and that make a big difference for the client. For example, managing their Google Business Profile and helping people get more reviews. There are also some "Local SEO Essentials" you can pick up on your own really quick. Plus, you can always outsource some of the marketing. We've got white-label services for SEO, Copywriting, and Social Media Management if you want a quick way to scale without having to do more stuff yourself.
