Just did an AB comparison with the Spotify version (2012 release) and this sounds so much better. I'm always shocked on how bad the digital masters/remasters are, when they could simply digitize the master tape like you just did. Imagine if we had access to decent masters with the convenience of digital.
I understood why I like BS. Ozzy has the voice of a teenager, and this gives rise to an almost comical effect in this song-the boy declares that he is an Iron Man.
Punchy, dynamic, high definition, clean as hell. no doubt about master tape. There is no other source that can reproduce this type of music feeling. Reel to reel decks always introduce a bit of phase error into the signal. These errors can add up when copying from tape to tape, and maybe that's what you are hearing. This copy is at least 3 generations down the line from the production master.

God this sounds incredible. Why the official releases don’t sound this good is beyond me.
Perhaps they are compressed when they are released online?
@@charlieheuer8637 Vynil and cassettes has less dynamic range than reel to reel. And CD releases were compressed because of the loudness war

My 1st Italian pressing of Paranoid sounds better than this. To be fair, it's probably because of RUclips's compression.
Sabbath has had the poorest sounding remasters for whatever reasons.
I own 1970 wlp of this and it sounds very good.
