Great advice on getting the pre-built already naked O3. You know a lot of people will try to save money and break their $230 O3 air unit so hopefully this will save some people some heartache.
Finally a company makes a naked O3 kits, and a naked O3 version. Great tips on who should get what, and tips of O3 stripping. The light version seems doable, the ultra light seems like a PITA especially with all that thermo paste, and the glue removal that can potentially remove the small components. Great video for anyone interested in stripping the O3.
ughh I totally had everything perfect, until I didn't realize the standoff spacers I was trying to use when mounting the boards in an Odonata HD were pushing on the ribbon cable and totally busted a few of the end pins (danggg that dental floss idea you did is genius, I just ended up printing tiny tpu standoff spacers lol). Both boards / ribbon connectors are still fine but the ribbon cable itself got messed up, been searching for months trying to find one lol. Worst case I have a spare of each part now :D if you ever end up finding a source for a replacement ribbon (not the coaxial cam cable but the board to board ribbon) def let me know!! Great advice and fabulous video, that kit looks so slick!!!
Great video! Are you able to use the naked o3 ultralight kit and make leave the top shielding on, pretty much like the naked o3 kit? Bought the ultralight o3 kit but want to keep the shielding on the top. Or do I need to buy the o3 non-ultralight naked it?
@@AlbertKimTV "Some" RUclipsrs do mention this, but they don't highlight the severe consequences that can occur. I suspect few would be honest/mention if they killed an Air unit. Thanks for the words of warning again. Most helpful.
38 grams? 🤷🏻♂️ Impressive how much weight you can save going naked. If i decide to go that route for a lightweight build I'll pay Flywoo to dismantle it. It would cool if they can get the boards and camera straight from DJI. 😎

*check my Instagram for more info on the 65mm whoop
That meteor65 pro O3 cinewhoop can't weigh more than 45g at the most. Pretty sick build. Can't wait to see more about it!

You can leave on the shielding if you want to.
Wow!! Great review. The videos make it look easy, but I have little doubt its is not a task for all. Great word of warning.
It's surprising how many don't mention the obvious mistakes that will break this... they should at least do that.

what is the name of the white frame you are using?
the one from this video? ruclips.net/video/CdT6R5BSdEk/видео.htmlsi=ke8OOrjKTZJOmDkL
Do you receive all the original items that were stripped off when buying the already done version?
I have no idea. I would ask Flywoo support this question.
Pretty interesting indeed! Thanks, Albert! 😊
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Which FC you are using on the Meteor75 frame?
I made a video about that one on my 2nd channel ruclips.net/video/v_OM9XiiGTI/видео.html
Thanks for the Video! Will the Naked version fit the Pavo Pico VTX Holder?
I flashed a photo of this in a Pavo Pico in the video. Guess you didn't watch it.
@@AlbertKimTV i have watched it maybe i missed it, i will check again. Thanks

Is it possible to remove the cans and keep the SD card slot?
Yes, I showed it in the video right at the beginning.
I was waiting for this once you posted the ultralight quad video. Nice of Flywoo to have a light option with ND filters.
how tall is it??
It's on the product page linked in the description. VTX dimensions are 29.8*28.8*13.3mm
@@AlbertKimTV oh ok thank you! :)
OMG... The pic of the thermal paste! I see why they charge $70 for the work!
It gets everywhere. I still have some on my fingers days later!
Makes you wonder what the next generation of digital transmission setups will look like.
What is waterproofing like?
You'll have to conformal coat the board for waterproofing
Ok
