People who were at the convention and have seen the video (or portions there of) reacted with a level of glee and joy at the display of violence that it is frightening! Why would Jared kicking a cardboard cutout of Castiel make Jenson ("That brought great joy to me") and other people HAPPY?!?! It wasn't funny, it wasn't a prank, it wasn't a joke, he just randomly started kicking the cardboard cutout that represents a character from his show and a person he has called a friend. That's disturbing. I find the response of the convention goers and commentators from You Tube and Tumblr equally disturbing. There is a segment of people that watch the show that HATE Misha/Castiel. They have apparently taken Jared's actions as some type of encouragement. I may never go back on Tumblr again!! No one was actually hurt......yet. The potential is out there. And now certain people who watch the show think Jared is encouraging it. I personally don't think he is encouraging it. My point is that violence (real life) is never OK.
