My honest opinion- at first I really felt weird about this. This is excellent work and true homage. That much is true. great job Dave. one thing is certain, your admiration at this level for this artist is shared, you’re not alone. And you are a reminder to those that feel that way.

John is such a humble and down to earth person, it must be very wierd for him to listen to an album that someone made FOR HIM. To me this sounds like some sort of mash up of all his solo work. For an example alot of the guitar work brings to mind Niandra Lades (For an example in "Again"), then the electronic drum sound reminds me of his newer releases. It's incredible how well his influence can be heard here, but at the same time this is very clearly not just a "John copycat album". It still has alot of "YOU" in it! 5 star album definetely, and an incredible tribute to John! I'm sure he felt very humbled listening to this.
The drums remind me of "To record only water for 10 days" which is one of the things I adore about this album :)

Amazing there is somthing really good here that goes beyond Jhon and is distincly yours. Its is very relaxing to listen to wich is hard to find. Theres nothing repetative in the lead parts and you seem to take it anywhere, yet somehow its still in this perfect place that always feels right its pretty cool.

Dave, I was looking for a John's song that I've heard once. Didn't find it at John's discography. Neither side projects with Omar Rodriguez-Lopez or so. All this time, it was the "Small song" from your album. Such a tiny musical piece has a lot of feeling. It captured John's spirit. I'm happy that I found this album again. Cheers!

Fenomenal Dave. It' like listen a John's album . I love it. First John apears on a picture with this album, then john's back to the chilli peppers.....what's next? Dave playing guitar on stage with John when the chilli peppers stop by England on his European 2020 tour? Who knows. I pay a lot to be there and see it.

The reverse solos on this album was achieved by reversing solos in protools.
If i'm using a pedal though i use the Line 6 Delay modeller.
