This episode is an interview with Marcelo, a trader in the Warrior Trading community who has gone through our profit badge verification program and crossed $50,000 in profits.
My results are not typical, and neither are Marcelo's. We do not track the typical results of past or current customers. As a provider of trading tools and educational courses, we do not have access to the personal trading accounts or brokerage statements of our customers. As a result, we have no reason to believe our customers perform better or worse than traders as a whole.

Ross thank you so much again for this beautiful interview with Marcelo. This interview was the best of all interviews because Marcelo was very humble and voluntarily shared with us very important points that happened during his journey. Marcelo thank you. I give 5 stars for this interview.

@28:00 is the most important part of this conversation to me. And it mirrors my own experience. I blew up my PDT account three times. And the third time it was by thousands of dollars. The psychological pressure of being down 10's of thousands of dollars. The opportunities I took away from my family by not having that money. Everything mounted. I was psychologically broken. Emotionally devastated. I took an entire month off. --- But it still wasn't painful enough for me to want to quit. I found not only was I still committed; I was even more committed now to making this work.
And ultimately, it came down to exactly what Ross says: just follow the damn rules. You make your own strategy. Your strategy has defined rules. If you can't follow them, you can't do this.
So I gave myself a last chance, and said if I am not following my rules and I blow up again, I'm done forever. And having that mindset going back in has kept my profitable for 4 months now. I haven't had a huge growth, most months are still basically break even. But my losses are nowhere near what they were before. Most days I'm green.
It's a really hard journey. Day trading will test your psychological limits to their breaking point. And you need to have the tools to deal with them.
Thanks for this episode Ross and Marcelo!

One of the best interviews yet! Hearing the struggles from other traders and them finally turning the corner is motivating! I also agree with what Marcello said, trading feels like a competition between you and yourself, not you against the market. It's about self-discipline, self-control, and an abnormal amount of patience.

I'm having the same problem scaling out. I will have to try your method. I think I have success on first 3 trades an then drop to 50:50 accuracy so thinking of doing only 3 trades per day. Excellent advice. Ross's recaps and explanation of mind games is spot on. Thanks for a great success story. Successful Trading.

Thank god i stumbled upon this video 2 years later. This is probably.the realest interview I've seen so far. I'm a breakeven trader and this was exactly what i needed to hear. Also, this kid is very relatable and not some rich older dude that doesn't really wanna share their secrets. I wonder how the kid is doing today

Ross, Thank you for all your content. This interview really helped me personally. Im not a full time trader, but I have set up a strategy just like Marcelo. After years of listening to RUclips videos and buying small positions I can tell the exact strategy he is using. My problem is I need a little push to actually put my plan in action. I have the same tight stop loss, the same winning ratio, I have proven my strategy in very very small positions. I really think Warrior trading could provide me with the extra step to scale in and go full steam ahead with a little more confidence. I also like Rosses casual lifestyle, and never pushes people to join his group.

Funny thing to me is that Marcelo and the last Interview, Max, Both use TD Ameritrade Think or Swim and go market in, market out on the buy/sells. I hear so many people say never buy and sell at market. I am also TD on Think or Swim. I have tried buying on the ask and half the time I don't get all my shares filled. So have resorted to market. I have not really turned the corner yet, had success and failures, more failures but most of that is discipline mistakes.

Thinkorswim (ToS) is a trading platform on-top of the TD Ameritrade API. DAS for TD Ameritrade is not on-top of the ToS platform, it is an alternate trading platform that integrates with the API. The DAS implementation is very lean, simple (ugly), but in exchange for that you get speed. Use DAS to execute your trades, and ToS for the graphing and other great features of that platform.
