At Evo 2011, my friends and I met some guys from Puerto Rico (turned out to be PR Mono, Gandido, Orbital, and PR Rog) and they invited us to their room to play and hang out. Justin Wong with his significant other went to the room to play cards with PR Mono. PR Rog showed up and played some casuals with us. This was the year PR Balrog was in top 8 for Marvel vs Capcom 3. We asked him why wasn't he resting for the finals and he just told us, "Vegas, baby!" That for me was the eye opener that just because you are good at a game and are in the top 8, you should enjoy your trip and not just stay in your room playing games. One of my friends recently got his visa and can travel to tournaments in the States. He was in the KOF XV world finals and got 3rd at Combo Breaker and the homie BS KoopaTj still took time to explore Los Angeles and Chicago.
If I went to Vegas I at least would've gone to eat at the Heart Attack Grill and Wing King; the latter of which has the infamous Hell Wings ranking 9M on the Scoville scale.

Bro there was no "audience" back when Phil played "competitively". These tournaments had like 50 people. Most attendants were there for newer games that were beyond Phil's skill level. He was playing old shit that no one really practiced.
