Learning this piece right now and I must say, he played this at quite a high level. This young cellist should be proud of himself, his bow articulation and intonation are wonderful and his thumb position is great. Overall great job, I hope I’m able to play this peace to the same level you did. 👍

@@rulex1890 My only regret was not having a chance to run through the piece with the pianist more (my school only gave us 30 min each the day before the concert). :( But other than that, it was magical to even perform this piece. I still remember the adrenaline from 2 years ago! haha thanks for asking
Why are the pianist and soloist so far apart? And with a wall basically in between them? It apparently affected ensemble at least once. But very fine playing!

The music does not care how old you are, but the fact a someone so young can grasp even simple musical ideas, let alone this very technical piece is very impressive so give him a break. Bragging isn’t good, but that doesn’t mean he’s an idiot.
You do realise there will always be someone that's better than you at anything. Doesn't mean you should feel bad about yourself, just try to be the best you can be amongst the people you interact with etc.

@@iloveranchdressing Oh my gosh same! I practice by playing each note of the double stop, then I put the notes together.
